HAVE CELTIC MESSED UP FINANCIALLY?
Sounds crazy I know and there will be better financial analysts than me on here, but due to PSR do we have money we can't spend?
That money has already been earned previously so can't be used in this years PSR.
The talk is you are better investing in infrastructure ie Hotel, stadium, museum or anthing else that will genetate more income in the futute with upgrading the stadium being biggest earner.
Also what's with payin 6m in taxes last year, first thought is they could a bought a player for that. Yes obviously they could but they may aswell gave everyone a pie and bovril at every match rather than payin tax on massive profit. Good financial business is making sure you don't pay tax by spending what you earn.

Iam no financial expert but but you'd think our revenue this season would be healthier than last season, we took in the oriley money and spent the best part of it, this season we've took in a similar amount but spent nothing.

Money is not an issue and we are miles ahead of all our competitors.
Our revenue will be around 140-150 million and theirs will be about 90 million.
In terms of % our wages bill is in much better shape than theirs.
Out manager and squad are far better than theirs and we have better sellable assets than them.
If we let them get anywhere near us, all the board needs sacked.

It's an issue Joe when we don't spend it to support the manager who's not far from going down on bended knee for help.

There is still a month left mally, and I am sure we will see more faces in the door. Ideally I would liked them to be here sooner but as long as they come I will be happy.

I honestly think we are keeping funds for correct players, looks like getting club signings in shin inamura (fit our model may well work out ) NYGREN, I think was a targeted buy good money considering only 6 months left on contract, some loan to buy options (personally think this has worked well in past ) with funds ready for Engels / idah type buys before window ends depending on who’s available and willing to come, I’m no board sympathier etc but I think this is ok, my complaint or gripe would be we disintegrate have ready made targets and trigger pulled as soon as window opened, but not many teams do, huge signings aside I’m reading lots of teams struggling to get players in, it’s obv just not as straight forward as Joe Public thinks.

Pedro and Nick must go to bed (separately) and dream of Desmond White and how prudent he was in maintaining a healthy bank balance. If only DW could download his secret straight into their minds.
This bl00dy whisky's strong!

The European deadline is August 14th for our CL playoff ties.
I’m not sure if we can still sign One extra player after the deadline up until 24 hours before the first leg.

Whatever the case, we seem to be struggling to add the quality that will help defend our title - never mind progress in Europe.
Maybe there will be more signings, although the latest loan move for a teenage centre back raises more questions than answers and the noises coming from the manager must be unsettling for many inside and outside the club and that is not the way to start the season.

Signing this 20 yr old centre back raises more questions than answers to those who have followed our SMSM carefully and have their half full glass turned into a half empty glass . Rather than doubting every step and every thought the board takes, I suggest we do what Celtic fans do best support and encourage team playing.
