2 questions really, what's your insight or opinion on the Balikwisha link. It seems to dragging on if true. Personally i like him but also like Orjaseater too. Also what's the deal with BR and a contract, found it strange that both KT and Calmac were at his place in Majorca during the break. He must see Calmac almost every day, why ask him out there. Also surely the meeting with Dermott has happened and its went quiet. Surely its not a case of BR waiting to see who we sign, that just seems tit for tat and unprofessional on both sides. Still hopin for 2 big signings tho with no money soent yet.
{Ed007's Note - I thought the Balikwisha deal was dragging on so long that it wasn't going to be happening but after news/rumours coming out of Belgium today it looks like it might be happening in the next couple of days.
KT and CalMac weren't together in Majorca visiting Rodgers as some of the reports make it look like, I'd hazard a guess that KT went out there to listen to Rodgers plans for him, the team & the Club to get him to agree to the deal, remember KT didn't actually become a Celtic player until July 1st and the pre-contract wasn't announced until May which ties in with him meeting Rodgers.
With CalMac it was after the season had finished and by chance they were both there so it was probably the same kind of chat about the future, reassuring CalMac that he was still his main man in the dressing room even though the fans/media say he needs to slow it down etc, the defeat in the cup final hit him hard and he maybe Rodgers thought he need a pep talk and to make sure.
We know Rodgers and DD have had the conversations about a new deal and it needs to be addressed in the next couple of months at the most, we can't have that hanging over our heads all season, every dropped point or CL defeat will have him edging closer to the door with the SMSM & Celtic bloggers - which doesn't help the team at all.
Is Rodgers waiting until he sees how the window pans out, he may well be, is it all agreed and done but Rodgers sees the transfer business more important, maybe, could it be that it's being held back to be announce to cover a $hitty window, could be? Maybe DD knows that Rodgers is leaving and has tightened the purse strings ?
Juts typing that I had a thought, would KT have came back knowing it was Rodgers last year, here what did he sell him for a year that got KT to turn down millions of £s?

There were murmurs going around that Rodgers was close to agreeing another 3 year deal towards the middle-end of last season. I thought it would’ve been done by now.
As for the “slow” transfer window. The “better quality” players available will be waiting to see if Celtic make it into the champions league before moving club.
Imagine it will be later in the window before we see any big money being spent.
Just to say Nygren is a UCL level player that we got for pennies. Can’t wait to see how we line up next season.

That lad Orjasaeter is sitting 47th in the league in terms of goals+assists which doesn't read well, 1 goal and 2 assists, his value seems high for the value he holds!
