Today's team looks much more like our normal team.
Glad to see Osmand, Tierney, Maeda and Hatate getting a start today. Also happy that Nygren made the bench, so hopefully get our first glimpse of him today.

Some things remain the same poor defending in last few minutes gave away 2 goals, first a rather stupid hand ball yielded a penalty and it was banged away . Then almost on 45 mins a poorly defended penalty allowed a powerful header into back of net.
Two one down at half time, after Celtic were in control without pushing on looking to add to Hatate’s early goal.
No doubt a different team, also with a sprinkling of first team players available. Could be a disastrous first defeat which will surely start demands for BR out .
No booing yet, probable because this is behind close doors match and no fans present.

Is that sarcasm?

Celtic lose 3-2 in Portugal.
I never seen the match but Celtic were flying this time last year in America.
I’m not surprised that July 12th doesn’t agree with Celtic.
The only other match Celtic have played on this date was our 1-0 first leg defeat to Lincoln Red Imps in 2016.
There was plenty of ridiculing over that result but Celtic still Qualified 3-1 on Aggregate and then went on to have a proper domestic Invincible season.

Henke, maybe, maybe not, I don’t think, BR should be under pressure or we should be booing but over the 90 mins, I am disappointed. I know it’s pre - season and basically a training session, but we have had 3 games now and we are getting back many first team players . Is my memory wrong but I think at this stage last pre - season, we were far further on as far as fitness and first touch was concerned. Last season at this stage we had entertainment and enjoyed the games .
I thought our old James Forrest showed the younger fellows a bit of what they should be capable at this stage.

I literally take it as players getting a run around, building on match sharpness and having to do so in Portuguese heat. Wins would just be a bonus. I have no doubt if we met that side for whatever reason during a season that I'd back us. In the same breath, we've beaten sides much better than us in a preseason game. Because it's a preseason game. To suggest it is a disaster, well I hope that is sarcasm.

In regards to that you may be right. It's primarily b team so first run out for remainder today still early doors though. The demand on players I feel its BR ensuring they get a break as possible before the hard work begins. He first play Idah in Cork so we just need to trust he knows what he is doing. Surely he has earned that by now?

Idah didn’t play in Cork as BR didn’t play any player until he had taken part in the number of training sessions that fitness and conditioning team reckon is necessary.
Idah actually teamed up well with Forrest and looked dangerous this morning and scored a good goal .
My main disappointment was that I feel youngsters who really wanted to impress should. have worked a little on their first touch and quick passing before meeting up, Hopefully we will see a brighter more active team after next week.

Who cares.
Is all about fitness and seeing what the youngsters can do.
