I've no issues with us signing young prospects, but our PR for Osmand and Inamura and even Doohan is a bit OTT. None of them are 1st team players and we are parading them everywhere as though they are stars. We are getting rid of some fringe players like Schluup, Nawrocki and Lagerbielke which is also good news and need to start splashing the cash on 1st teamers. We have been in the market for a CF since Kyogo left, we have the funds, now is the time, so no excuses. Need to get it done sharpish otherwise we will be scrambling as per and either pay over the odds or get a loan deal.

Surely it can’t do new young players especially those from foreign lands good to make a little fuss of them in their early days.

Guys what I am concerned about is Brendan has said Osmond and Inamura may not be first team ready, yet we have let 2 experinced players leave, there is also concern about the fitness of Johnson, CCV and worry over Tierney playing regularly.
We NEED at least 3 first team ready players NOW.

I was interested in hearing that BR talks about freshening up the squad, especially the development squad. He said they get two years and then it's time to review who's making progress and pretty much releasing those who are not. Looks like this is the end of the cycle for most and that's why there were so many of the younger players playing against QP and he was making an assessment over who is worth keeping. Players such as Bonnar, Frame, Montgomery, Oluwayemi, Summers, McPherson and Turley won't all be there in this coming season.

Kyogo to Birmingham and Kvistgaarden to Norwich. What is going on.
Must be about money for Kyogo as the Japan Manager cannot see playing in that league ahead if playing for us in CL. Maybe he has been promised he will be 1st choice.
For Kvistgaarden he must see it as a shopping window for the Pub League. Goid luck with that.
He wanted a CL side but ended up with a struggling mid table team.
It just confirms to me that he has little ambition and is definitely not a 12 mil player.

I know that Mally, think that was BR giving the youngsters a chance to impress. Hope one or two of them are kept on to prove there is a pathway to the first team squad.

I think a lot of the first team who had internationals also started back later. So where not ready for QP game.

We have an old saying in Ireland that you can bring a horse to water but you cannot make it drink .
The same happens with young players, they can be taught and given facilities to make them fit and their skills can be improved to make them topCeltic stars of the future, but if they don’t drink from our success trophies and prefer to mix a non professional sports life with the discipline required to be a first class professional sportsman, they will surely drift away in the modern game .
O the other hand they prefer to live and play in England and far off fields with the promise of more money, their professional life can stall and in a few yrs they are back in Scotland lower leagues on Loans.

No surprise that Kvistgaarden went to Norwich and not Celtic . BR said weeks ago that Celtic were no longer interested in him and wouldn’t proceed with any interest to buy . I don’t think Celtic had an interest in Kyogo .
