It's a reminder to Taylor maybe stay-put and take his chances. It's also a reminder to Tierney to maybe concentrate on club football?

Or a reminder to the board to give Taylor the deal he's looking for.

Rumour a heard he was on £10k pw and Celtic offered him £15pw on 4yr and he wanted £20k and that paok offered him £18k on a 2 yr deal ??♂️personally if any of it is true a think £15k is a good offer.
{Ed007's Note - Fast forward to June 2026... "Greg Taylor has joined Aberdeen on loan..." Transfers like that are always a bit mental to me, like players going to Turkey - I've nothing against Turkey but very rarely do players from the UK go to these foreign countries and settle - I've recently read the lack of chips is an issue for these expats abroad ? - but seriously, I always wonder if players really are THAT money motivated or just stupid that they don't realise the change in culture, political views etc etc they're moving into.
It's a bit like me visiting my mum's family in Larkhall, it's all a bit weird & different, they talk a bit funny, everybody's pronoun in this bastion of political correctness is "oor.." they're nice people that really do make you feel welcome in a Royston Vasey type of way - I wouldn't want to move to either of them!}

The 3 k difference is a little false economy with the upheaval moving still have your UK costs unless you sell your actual home.

A think personally most of them are money motivated Edd. ano it’s a short career and out to get as much as they can, but a don’t believe the stuff they want to go to a certain team to play say CL football it’s because that team has offers the most money. same as a don’t feel 1 bit sorry for Ange getting sacked as he has just Walked away with at least £4m after 2 yrs.
{Ed007's Note - I've been saying on the English forums for years, when they talk about players saying the want CL football why don't they come to Celtic for £25k a week and (have the chance to) play in the CL every season? As you say they want mean they want the wages top CL level teams pay, whether they're in the CL or not.
Would any top player pick playing for Spurs next season over Man Utd simply because of the CL situation?}

Agree about Larkhall Ed007. For 35 years I've rimmed it - stay in Stonehouse (Stoneys to the natives) but I suppose it's better than staying in Port Glasgow. A guy here was told he wasn't welcome to a party in one of his mate's homes so he went home and got an axe and welcomed himself into it. A woman who was pushing a go-chair with a toddler in it gave the wee sod a glass milk bottle with a teat stretched over it to feed it. Only in Larkhall.

I have to say the Board seems to have offered G Taylor as much, if not more than he is worth . Despite GT& his agent trying to get an offer for him anywhere nothing seems to be happening . I think we can be pretty sure Celtic have offered him his true valuation and he should sign a new contract with us.

If Tierney gets injured and let’s be honest there is a very good chance he will then we are left with Taylor in the champions league again.
Remind me what the definition of insanity is again?
