Hi
Surely we are going to be weaker after this window
Taking into account Brendan insisted we would be stronger
What’s going on? Does he feel safe with his healthy wage and just take it easy rather than demand what we need and deserve.

Our Board will probably feel they can afford to be complacent because there’s no decent competition in Scotland.
Our nearest rival will continue to downsize to meet the new UEFA demands.

Celtic will need to get a striker in ASAP this summer because we will have a massive CL playoff tie in the middle of August.

Buzz I don't care what anyone says, I don't believe for 1 second the fans or rodgers himself believes selling kyogo this month and not bringing a striker in even on loan Is good business. absolute madness. rodgers stated he wanted to come out of this window stronger, he'll need to explain to the fans if he believes that to be the case.

It's been a shambles.

I must be the only one to think we are stronger. Jota is an upgrade on Maeda and Idah is better than Kyogo imo. We prob wouldn't have got offered £10m for Kyogo again so best to take the money for him at 30. Kenny will be giving a chance as back up now. Better options will be available in the summer. Squad is strong enough to win Scottish Cup.

{Ed007's Note - So if Idah is better than Kyogo is he the "best since Larsson" in your opinion?

@Bhoy88 - So you think Idah and Kenny are better than Kyogo and Idah? Not only that, we have 1 less striker, so once we get an injury we are unable to rotate or sub and for that reason I see that as being considerably weaker.

Granted we strengthened our wingers as Jota is better than Palma.

That being said you are forgetting we sold 2 left backs and replaced with Schlupp, it remains to be seen if that has strengthened us.

However, we lost one of our midfielders and one of our centre backs and did not replace them. So we are weaker in both those positions now.

Based on that, we are stronger in 1-2 positions but weaker in 3-4 positions. So we did not come out of the window stronger.

I don't think Kyogo was the best since Larsson, Not really sure why some fans say that tbh.

Bernabei, Welsh and whoever the midfielder was never played so we are hardly weaker. Replace them? And bloat the squad with more players who won't play? Surely there is youth players who can cover Bernabei, Welsh and whoever the midfielder was?.

Bhoy88, idah is better than kyogo, based on what exactly Surely if rodgers felt that was the case idah would've featured more than kyogo under Rodgers? As for Kenny being given a chance as backup now, he couldn't even get off the bench at firpark ahead of a rank rotten yang. I'm hoping Kenny gets a fair opportunity and was very disappointed he never seen any minutes against motherwell. as for not bringing in another striker, Rodgers himself stated he wanted another striker brought in. how anyone can say we've came out this window stronger than when we went into it is beyond me.

I am sure most if not every member of the Board and of our supporters know that we needed a replacement for Kyogo . We don’t know what attempts the Board made to sign an adequate replacement . There were endless amount of strikers available but if they didn’t fit into BR plans and ambitions there is no point in following up . At this time only Brendan and Board know exactly what happened.

04 Feb 2025 05:46:40
Before the weather window we had two strikers with a back up in Maeda. Now we've one striker with the same backup so how anyone things we're stronger is a mystery to me.

04 Feb 2025 12:33:56
I don’t think anyone currently involved in recruitment and signing new players has made the claim that we come out stronger. Most of us were delighted we got rid of players who played little or no part in our campaign, this season or any other season . Now many who were pleased are casting up that these players exiting leave us weaker .
It actually weakens arguments of those not satified.
