First of all I'm a Liverpool fan but I can't believe the amount of fans on here who don't want Roy Keane as their new manager.I have no doubts that he will become a top manager because the man is a born winner and will eventually succeed because that's his nature, if he takes something on he will go to any lengths to be the best.I have always had a soft spot for Celtic because my Da is a diehard and always hope they do well but some people would want to get a reality check on here because the league is fast sliding towards amateur standards and fans should be grateful that a man of Roy Keane's stature is being linked with the club.I would tell these lads be careful what you wish for because you might end up with someone that would take the York job in the morning if it was available ie Owen Coyle.
1.) Hi Irish Kenny, this is a VERY valid point and "yes" you are right, the BOD would get away with a lower profile appointment (because of the state of our game) but RK is box office whatever way you look at it; I am now almost arguing against myself, IE maybe Keane would be just about the best option under ALL of the unique circumstances that affect CFC, chiefly "impoverished league and dire competition"
2.) If it isn't Roy Keane and say it is Owen Coyle, I'd feel as if the rug had been pulled for under me!
If ever a phrase applied to a set of fans 'be careful what you wish for' is Celtic fans.
Booed Fergus, ran out Strachan etc
3.) Would you like? take him as lfc manager?
4.) One thing that I like about Keane is that neither players nor the media will mess him around . We will have interesting times .
5.) I'd be okay with swapping Keane for Brendan Rodgers. I'd also throw in Stokes and Griffiths for Sturridge.
6.) Scottish footballs Gonny be borin enough yourman so at least RK will come in and liven things up, he'll give the SMS a run for there money hail hail
7.) I just think he'll stir controvery with the media, SFA/SPFL, board, dressing room, etc. His ego n temperament are not what we need right now!
8.) HB come on the media had it in for wee Gordon because of his intelligence and dry wit, they had it in for Lenny because they said he was aggressive and confrontational so no doubt if RK gets the job there will be something with him to, let's not lie down to them, am personally lookin forward to Roy giving them what for if he gets the job?
