reports that ntcham signed for 7 million. surely that figure isn't right ed? seems high for us.

big benny

{Ed007's Note - I can't see that being true, Benny.}

1.) 09 Jul 2017 20:36:04
Same here. Surely id of thought if we were willing to pay 7 million. We would be taking roberts. Who would be much less of a gamble. Anyone know id he is any good? i've never heard of him.

{Ed007's Note - It seems the deal could end up costing £7 million with £4 million up front and the rest in add-ons. It will probably be announced as undisclosed.}

2.) 09 Jul 2017 21:18:20
Much is the Paddy deal going to be Ed.

{Ed007's Note - That's where you're talking about record fees I reckon and £7 million's been mentioned there. KT has offered to put his birthday money in if it helps.}

3.) 09 Jul 2017 21:39:12
You jest ed but that bromance might just be the thing that tips the scales in our favour , lol 😁.

{Ed007's Note - I agree with that btw and even if Paddy doesn't come back I reckon those two will be good mates for life.}

4.) 09 Jul 2017 21:56:15
i still think paddy will sign. im ever the optimist.

{Ed007's Note - I've always said we had as good a chance as any club of signing him if we could agree a fee with City but I've been telling my family since April that I'm not emotionally prepared for Paddy permanently leaving Celtic - so we live in eternal hope, Benny.}

5.) 10 Jul 2017 02:26:39
I have read the rumours about Wee paddy and I don't know what to think. Is someone taking the kids or is this real?

I hope it is but I don't want to get my already high hopes up to a level where I keel over due to the stress.

Come home Wee man.

6.) 10 Jul 2017 14:30:56
4m plus sell on fee negotiated by city.

What a result again. For me Griff was unlucky to be on the bench but boy does the moose turn up in yje big games. Was thinking to myself. I can't remember a time when the gulf was so big. Was thinking if there was a single sevconian who would make our squad. Don't think so. Also. Every player in the squad yesterday would be they're best player by a mile. Snd that squad excluded Armstrong and mousonda who would be there stand out player. I cannot see any way they can realistically challenge us in next 5 years. For me we are just gona go further ahead. I can't help think it would of been better for Scottish football if they had stayed dead. Perhaps then another team. Giving time, would having risen to the challenge.

1.) 16 Apr 2018 20:51:09
Benny no one is rising to the challenge any time soon. The only way the door opens for them is if we go backwards. Over the next 24 months we could lose Moussa, Rogic, Armstring, Brown (retires) Tierney maybe even Ajar. That would bring in maybe £60mill? So if we used that money to replace no one gets to us and we continue to qualify for CL brining in £25mill plus each year. If we lose Rodgers and the above we would go backwards but that would be Celtic causing their own downfall. That is the only way anyone is taking us out.

{Ed007's Note - I think someone's hacked Johnny's account! :-o

2.) 17 Apr 2018 10:05:13
Nice one Ed.

{Ed007's Note - :)

Just poped on sly sports that season long loan confirmed. Hell of a player for us but the deal is underwhelming for me. Gona lose him for vital qualifiers next year. Tbh i don't understand his mentality. Surely if city were willing to let him go. He has no futre there. I can't see that changing in a season.

big benny

1.) 28 Aug 2017 18:38:14
If it's only one year and no possibility to buy him then that's us developing him to make them money. I wonder how much we offered.

2.) 28 Aug 2017 18:46:21
The wee video of him back is cool and it looked like the picture shown the came from that moment.

3.) 28 Aug 2017 18:49:34
Patience mate. He has come back, and for that I am delighted. He turned down other options. So what if it's just one year. Next summer we should table a £7m offer and no wait until after the CL qualifiers.

Ed with roberts deal lookin more likey now any idea if be a full deal?

big benny

{Ed007's Note - It'll be a loan.}

1.) 16 Aug 2017 18:15:28
You think there will be option to buy Ed?

{Ed007's Note - I doubt it.}

2.) 16 Aug 2017 18:28:02
18 month loan contract for Roberts seems to have been agreed by all parties.

3.) 16 Aug 2017 18:28:35
I know we all love paddy but i don't see the point in a losn unless for 2 years again. Ot a fan of develping players for other clubs.

02 Aug 2017 18:35:05
griff on bench.

rogic on bench.

ajer not in squad.

this has me worried.

big benny

1.) 02 Aug 2017 18:44:43
No worried about rogic but really worried bout griff means that waste a jersey Forrest playing then eh?

2.) 02 Aug 2017 18:47:10
Can't understand Ajer not starting and can't understand Forrest starting up top. But still confident we'll win.

3.) 02 Aug 2017 18:54:15
Ajer took a sore one against Sunderland, that might explain his absence.

As for Griffiths, I've never quite understood a player being fit enough for the bench but not for the start. Either you risk him or you don't?

4.) 02 Aug 2017 19:01:14
Jeezo man gies peace. In Brendan we trust. 2-1 Celtic HH.

5.) 02 Aug 2017 19:43:45
Rogic will be our best player this year and your not bothered? Guy is phenomenal!

Guys,

this is so insignificant in money terms for Celtic. its beyond me how the board bend over to the sfa and uefa to critique there own fans. rosenborg last week, how many fans absent? 3000? how much did that cost £70000? maybe £100,000?

the board seem to forget this section was probably the only section of the stadium full in years gone by, we don't have the luxury of tv money up here and a vast amount of the cashflow comes from the fans. i'm not saying the GB should control the club, nor should they, however they do have a serious influence with fans. the board should utilise the GB, commercialise them.

people on here have said on and of the club shouldn't be political. however how many say Celtic is more than a club? Celtic's identities are because of the fans we have, not the boardroom, not the champions league and not religion.

A club without fans is nothing.

As much as id love the above to happen. I can't see it. Its a potential outlay of 30mil including ntcham. Also. Signing a total of 6 midfielders? Hayes benyu ntcham pasalic musonda Robert's. Id gyess rogic and Armstrong both would be sold then.

Can't see much about it. But if it was verbal abuse, racial or sectarian these guys should be arrested and jailed. I have no tolerance to this crap. If it was one of our own fans I'd say the same.

I think itll be 3 at the back with possibly florrist and miller at wb. Protecting tierney and lustig. And Robert's sinclair tucking in to middle when we lose the ball.

Gordan.
Lustig-simunovic-tierney
Forrest-------------------Miller
Brown---ntcham
--roberts--------------Sinclair--
Griffiths.

Thus annoys me. Is it not the same argument that spl teams can say about us? These teams get huge tv revenue so hench spend huge money. We have a huge following compared to spl teams so can easily outspend them. Im a bit on the fence about champions league football. Yes the money makes us a better team but we still should be comfortably better than the rest of the spl. I want the ten in a row but whst then? 15 20? With no challange? Does winning a league mean as much as before? Yes id say so. Does it feel the same as pipin the huns in last game? Definatly not. Do say we qualify for the champions league for next 5 seasons. Make us mabe 150-200million richer than any rival spl team. But an english team will still have generated a billion more than us. All that's really happening is that we are getting stronger and stronger than other spl teams. But weaker than other top league clubs. Something in football has to change. My outlook eould be a European league. Where teams like celtic rangers ajax psv feyenord leiga anderlect can play big matches every week.
