The time we announce Taylor may tell whether there's another iron in the fire tonight. If we hold off there could maybe, just maybe, be something but I'd be very surprised now. If we add Taylor tonight it's been a very strong end to the window.

I have to disagree with statement if we add Victor then it would be a great window. Adding a Killie left back instead of the boy from Rosenburg has penny pinching written all over it.

David, were Celtic in for Rosenborg left back? Was he in our price range from both a transfer fee and personal terms perspective? Did he want to come to Scotland and Celtic? Is he better than Taylor? If so is he significantly better to justify the price differential? If the answer to all of the above is yes your comment might have some credibility.

My only issue/ s with the Taylor signing is we should of signed him before or as soon as we knew KT was off.
We messed around too long with it for one reason or another and Killie held us to ransom and got top dollar for their man, so fair play to them!
If we were seriously interested in Meling, then to me it’s underwhelming in that respect.
The lad very much had the ability, with plenty of European experience.
All that being said, he’s signed now and I really hope he comes good with us.

It's all about opinions and I would have preferred Melling given his experience especially in European competition. How many scottish players make that transfer from smaller clubs to Celtic. Look at Jack Hendry as a prime example.

I hope Taylor proves me wrong but is he really in KT class.

{Ed007's Note - Off the top of my head what about Brown, Christie, Armstrong & Bain? Who could we have realistically bought (afforded?) from anywhere that would have been in the KT class? Hopefully we can produce players at THAT level but realistically we have no chance of signing any.
Overall there is no question that we have came out of this window with a far stronger squad than we had this time last year.}
