Sections of the media now reporting Roy Keane will b taking over as manager of Aston Villa so does that mean Paul Lambert is heading for the paradise?
1.) No way. He's already been to Fir Park.

A rumour coming from down South is Aston Villa have bid 2m for Samaras. I know 1 of there strikers broke there leg at training last week so I would imagine Lambert is looking for a replacement. U heard anything on this Ed?
I got told Samaras didn't fly out with the rest of the squad to Turkey anyone know if this is true?
{Ed007's Note - Nobody travelled to Turkey today, the flight was delayed and later cancelled but you're right that Samaras won't be travelling. I don't know of any AV interest in him, sorry.}
1.) £2 million for samaras with 6 months left on contract, just think much he would be worth if he had 3 year left! Frightening.

Does anyone know why Biton hasn't been involved in any of the pre-season friendlies?
1.) Still recovering from his injury maybe. Is he definitely in Austria Ed? Is Rogic?

2.) Is he not on his honeymoon?
3.) He was on the bench last night, not sure if he was available for selection though, but he was sitting among the others.
4.) Biton I meant, Rogic isn't in Austria.

First time posted. Love the site. We are often very critical of how Mr Lawell runs the club but I think he is right the way he is handling the Samaras & Ledley contracts, we can't and shouldn't be breaking the wage structure to keep these guys. 1 good season out of 4 is not good enough from Samaras anyway and ledley has been a great servant but not irreplaceable. Guys like Lambert, Larsson real world class players are irreplaceable.

If we haven't even spoken to Steve Clarke then u really have 2 question what's going on behind the seens at paradise. Steve Clarke is everything PL would want i.e. He doesn't have 2 pay a penny for him as he is a free agent and he probably has enough contacts to get loan deals on sum of the best young talent in the premiership saving PL even more money. It's frightening to hear names like Coyle, Houston, Keane etc bein touted for the job. We are in a position of strength we need to keep building on. Didn't we learn our lesson with Dalglish/Barnes and Mowbray which financially cost us dearly!
It's got to b Steve Clarke in my opinion but I'm in no doubt the board will yet again look at the cheapest option so on that basis I would prefer Mackay or McNamara rather than King Henrik or god forbid Owen Coyle
I'm afraid it was only a matter of time b4 Ambrose made another howler. Van Dijk has been holding it 2gether at the heart of our defence for months now but it was only going to last so long, Ambrose is hopeless, plane and simple. We need and deserve a better CB in there beside Virgil.
I'm don't have a clue what formation that was suppose to b out there tonight. This is schoolboy stuff here, surely when u go down to 10 men u go 4-4-1?!
Totally agree PedroCelt I thought Nir Briton had an excellent game I just hope he gets a run in the team and NL doesn't drop him as soon as Forrest & Mulgrew r fit again! We r 21 points clear let's c what Pukki, Biton and Balde have 2 offer NL!
I totally agree with u Chris why not give young Watt a chance if he has hit a bit of form again.
Pukki was challenging Huntelaar for a starting position in Germany and the year before we sign boerrigter he was giving teams in europe even Real Madrid lots of problems, players like that don't become hopeless overnight. Let's face it they can't be any worse than Samaras and Stokes. And for everyone who goes on about Samaras making us £30+ million in the champions league it was a team effort that got us to the last 16 and 3 great games in 4 years isn't good enough. He has never been a prolific goal scorer and that's what the guys been getting paid £25k a week 4 the past 4 years to do and all we got was 1 great old firm performance and 3 good champions league games!
