Anton made his debut in an 8-3 victory at home to Hamilton.
He made his mother proud because she was a massive Celtic Supporter. ðŸ€.

Pretty sure he is from Andersonstown as I remember going over there to play football in my youth. We played a team called Saint Oliver Plunkett. I have a memory of the family I lived with telling me that Anton Rogan was from their estate and his family lived just up the hill from them.
I know he got a lot of stick as a player but I always liked him and admired his workrate. Anton down the left and Chris Morris down the right. Both had a good year in the centenary season.

I was at Ibrox only 2 days previous in our 2-0 defeat on New Years Day 1987.
It was the coldest I’ve ever felt at a match.
It was a game of 2 goalkeepers, Chris Woods was saving everything and Pat Bonner had a nightmare. Bonner dropped the ball to allow their 2nd goal.
Going into the Hamilton match, Celtic had 3 defenders out, which gave Anton his chance.
