First time post Bhoys and Ghirls. Great site thanks Ed.
Lennys time is sadly up, he can deflect and try to convince himself it's not (perhaps he has other motivations for that) but when you consistently don't get the best from a team it's time to step away. or for the board to make their decision.
Howe is the big talk and yes he's tactically an improvement, seems to have had success in transfer market, prem league experience so ticks lots of boxes for me.
Another who I know is likely not to come but is actually my preferred choice, Steve Clarke. Experienced again in Prem league, National team, our league (and did fantastic with Killie) , again great coach, tactically exceptional, very shrewd in transfer market with good connections. Just can't see him leaving the National team. or double jobbing! HH.

hi con1888 and welcome. as long as p. lawell is running things it is irrelevant who the manager is. lawell picks the duds we sign, lawell picks our manager in a steamy shower room, and lawell decides who helps the steamy room manager. lawell has cost us 10iar and it is probably for financial reasons, these are things that is well over my mind set. we can only hope people power and i mean celtic supporters can affect change. May i also say Neil Lennon will always have a place in my heart for all he achieved at our wonderful club. god bless neil lennon and pray he has a wonderful life in retirement.

For me PLs biggest mistake was not selling the want aways in the Summer. maybe it was due to financial uncertainty from other clubs meaning they didn't bid or maybe he feared the backlash. We kept all our players and invested fairly heavily for an spl club. We should be stronger this season but it's gone horribly wrong. Noone saw this coming. NL has done a job since coming back. Noone was calling for his head when we won 9iar. Something has gone badly wrong and we should have made a change earlier. It was clear by Oct that a change was needed. Regardless of NL tactical inability the players we have on the money they are on should be more than capable of beating a bunch of kids and journeymen that they face domestically. They are the true embarrassment to the club.

I can agree with some of your post, the sticking point is a lot of people appointing him as a permanent manager was a huge mistake and it has proved to be correct. Hindsight is a terrific fact. Any ways guys let's regroup and start our fight again. hh let's go for 2iar.

Fifer, those kids and journeymen are not bad, they should not be underestimated particularly if they have gelled and are playing as a team st Mirren/ Livy as examples
This season there appear to be a lack of desire or is it an expectation, over confidence, just need to turn up attitude. definitely not playing as a team or up for it
The last few games against them last year was the start, didn’t learn from them and were played off the park
Maybe that has dented confidence?
Certainly a good few look as though they don’t want to be there
I can’t see the rebuild happening quickly, the number of positions that need covered/ replaced is frightening. Money will be tight and expect a few years of doom and gloom.

I'm not saying they are bad but come on. With our wage bill and team of international players we should be doing better. Also they are unbeaten as we are against every other club. The league is the poor. I felt a bit deflated when Lennon got the job as well but our domestic record last season was sensational. Money will be tight for rebuild but they are looking at free transfers to replace the sales they will make in the Summer. All is not lost. Maybe on the European front we will have to accept that we need to build up to have a decent run at it. We will be challenging domestically next season without a doubt. They will have a new manager soon as well (if not next season then the season after) .
