Cant agree more, Rodgers has jumped ship once to Leicester, yes Leicester not Real Madrid or Barcelona! . he will say the right things, and will jump ship again and by doing so thinking he is bigger than the club and he did the club a favour by returning.

I'm totally against it but will support the team whoever comes in but I'm the same asw yourself and want Maresca.

Hi All. Long time viewer not poster. Lol. I think BR is the ideal candidate. Knows the club well. No matter who the manager is they either sink or swim. Ie get sacked or survive. Survive and the very strong chances are you will likely be poached by another club for more money. AP left Japan mid season too.

I was happy when it was first spoken about, but having thought about it, I just want the very best man possible to get the job. Of all the names mentioned, BR is definitely that. I'll put my initial feelings aside and welcome him back with open arms if it happens. Yes, I am shallow and fickle, but I'm also a Celtic fan who wants the very best for our club. and after them having a gloat about us losing Ange, I'd love to see the smile wiped off their faces with Mr Teeth, Tan and Trebles back in the building.

Maresca? an assistant is now suitable for using celtic to cut there teeth! jesus weeps, it’s 1 thing being an assistant, totally different going it alone! Celtic don’t need to take chances like that! we have everything going for us off the park, why gamble? BR wouldn’t be my choice but he knows how to beat that lot and win the league that’s what we need, in europe his results and set up were poor but he’s a good coach and regardless of who’s appointed we will back them 100%.

What successful manager have we had that didn't 'jump ship'? We as fans need to realise we will always be a stepping stone club for England. (Players and managers) unless there is serious investment in Scotland. Rodgers is the best candidate that is actually likely to come. I said I wanted Potter, but I just can't see it happening. Rodgers is the least gamble for success.

I know he jumped ship but there is no doubt PL was to blame, he was taking in his own players and making no effort to get the ones BR wanted, why wouldn't he leave when his reputation was put on the line by PL. Managers come and ggobut whoever comes in the board need to standby any promises they make during the interview stage or we will be in the same position in a year or maybe 2.

Exactly Cory, there's not a manager out there who won't "jump ship" when an offer comes in from the pub league. Loyalty doesn't exist in the modern game.

Brenands first season was great. He's a class manager. He left us in a horrible way, and I don't think it was genuinely for bigger aspirations as opposed to more money.

He done well his first 2 seasons at Leicester but he has then led to their decline and that's a normal story with Rodgers in management.

Anges team has some really exciting football and has progressed year on year. The question we need to ask can Rodgers improve on this?

Was it behind the scenes issues that made him leave? Rumours of £30million budget and upgrading facilities this summer - is this just rumours?

Will we progress with Rodgers at the helm. If so I'd take him back if not then we need to look elsewhere. Progression will be measured in trophy's and European progress, whilst an attractive style of football is played.

If a totally unproven Maresca comes in and wins 5/ 6 trophies and a PL side comes in he will be off too, let’s not kid ourselves. If it comes down to a straight choice between him and BR then it’s no brainer. I would still like to see other options explored though, I would like an experienced manager, we do not need to take a risk on Maresca, there is other options out there.

Did Ange learn to jump ship by following the footprints of Brendan Rodgers . Has BR learned anything since leaving us . I think I remember him saying he would be back to us.

ive read that some fans will stop going or supporting celtic if its BR, well for you that do that your not any better when you let your feelings towards a man hold back the club you supposedly love, your just to small minded and selfish.
