I'll probably get shot down for this opinion but I feel the decision side of VAR worked well. We might not have liked the result of it but they came to the correct decisions.

1. Definitely a penalty against CV my only gripe is the delay in reaching that decision.

2. Our penalty claim is denied correctly. No one on this site would say it was if it had struck a Celtic arm. However if in the same circumstances a penalty is awarded against Celtic then you need to question the consistency in the interpretation of the rules and that's where Refs own opinions or bias comes in.

3. The Ralston goal. If the foul was given for offside against another player then the goal should have stood as the goal scorer was not the one infringing and the player who was was not interfering with play. If there was a foul committed by any player then the goal shouldn't stand. The problem with VAR and the Ref is that it's not communicated at the time what the infringement was so it leaves everyone in the dark and throwing conspiracy theories about.

I feel in the long run the VAR system will benefit us and the Scottish game but we need to get to the decisions quicker otherwise it takes all the pace, excitement and drama out of the game. However if it means that the correct decisions are being made week in week out, whether we like the decision or not, then I'm up for that.

Are you being serious the boys arm is out and he looked embarrassed by the decision, the ralston goal deary me the contact and both players were at it had no bearing on a perfectly good goal.

Wasn't abada inside as well for his goal?

Lawman I agree with some of your post yes there penalties were correct. But as for the our call Forrest flicks the ball between the players to run through on goal. The defender turns either away from the ball or to block the run he makes his body bigger his hands are now out from his side it's a penalty. If his hands were by his side and he tries to block it with his body it's a different scenario but genuinely think he gains advantage by making his body bigger to block the move as it comes off his arm.

As for Ralston it was an exact situation for VAR to decide the whistle was blown before Ralston made contact. It would been an exact situation for VAR to be used. Let the play run review the video and make a call. Jacko makes little contact but enough to debate and does the offside player distract the keeper. Use VAR for that.

As for the issue I've moaned at about Abada why was there was no video replay with the lines to show Abada offside I genuinely felt he played the line and was on. Why did they not show it?

The system was used well but only when it offered advantage to Hearts. Hopefully that's just poor mistakes but if it continues it needs to be addressed straight away from Celtic management, board and media team with no hesitation to point out the injustice.

1. I'm not complaining about either of their penalties 2. That was a definite penalty for us and if it was against us I wouldn't/ couldn't complain 3. For Ralstons goal no one was off side that was interfering with play and I seen no foul committed. I will watch it back though.

Lay off the drugs man ? The entire panel never disagreed that we should've had a penalty and a goal it couldn't have been anymore clear cut. The only other bad decision imo was a 2nd yellow for Jenz although he shouldn't have been booked in the first place. Sevco red wasn't a red either. The ref overruled the initial yellow. They was diving all over the place looking for a penalty, but never got in a situation where they could con one. It's pretty obvious how this VAR introduction will pan out in terms of desicions and none of us are remotely surprised.

Mick87 - I've had another look at the penalty claim and concede that VAR should have referred the incident back to the onfield Ref. I now think it could be seen as a penalty the more I see it. ??‍♂️.

Smith had his arm out, he deflected the ball, Walsh must be taken to account for not giving a penalty, I don't mean sack him, I mean educate him, on the rules, the only way people like Walsh will ever become good referees is to let them make mistakes and then point out to them the error of their ways, if you don't educate the fools, the fools will end up making the rules.

Walsh can spot a hunpenalty blindfolded fae a mile away but can’t see a Celtic penalty five feet away with the help of a panel with big screens and multiple replays!?! Aye ok.
