If we sell Jota for the 25 to 30 million mark and bring in the lad Tete from Shaktar for the nominal fee reported that's a great piece of business from the club .
I would also love the rumours to be true we are back in for Vinicius Souza big strong unit we have all been wanting in the middle of the park .

Edd have you heard anything regarding Abada? Heard he has a release clause nowhere near his value and Celtic scrambling about trying to get him on a new deal as lots of interest from the premier league.
{Ed007's Note - I said last week when discussing McKay's potential balls-ups regarding contracts that both Kyogo and Abada were also signed on his watch, I wasn't worried about Kyogo but the Abada one might be a problem.}

Sorry I missed that Ed . There might be a bit of truth in it then hopefully we get him tied down on a new contract . The guy who mentioned it is a football agent and said serious interest from Crystal Palace in particular . Usually when someone mentions a rumour I take it with a pinch a salt but he did seem adamant so thought I would ask the question ?.

Ed have you heard of any interest in Micky Van De veen? I know nothing about the lad but from what I was told he could be exactly what we are looking for .
{Ed037's Note - van de Van, A left footed ball playing Defender. He actually only signed for Wolfsburg from Wormer at the start of last season on a 4yr deal. Unfortunately for Micky he picked up a serious leg injury and only played 5 games in the season. 3 at the start of the season and the Last 2 games. Micky came out and said at the end of last season that he hopes to be fully fit for next season and restart his Wolfsburg career. Wolfsburg manager Niko Kovač an admire of of Van De Ven because he comfortable playing with the ball and suits his style. Valued at ard 5 million now I believe Micky, I don't think there will be any interest from Celtic here unfortunately. Wolfsburg manager Kovac wants to keep the young lad in Germany next season

Ed is it looking like the lad Semedo is coming in? From what I have seen of him he looks bang average and nowhere near good enough to play champions league football.
{Ed007's Note - Celtic are apparently close to finalising the deal for Semedo I mentioned yesterday, well sort of ? it's a years loan with an obligation to buy for €1.5 and I'm sure I said it was an option to buy.

Surely there must be better out there ?. I have seen him a few times and he is like soro except more physical. I will give him a chance but not excited one bit about this one I can’t see him being anything more than a squad filler and I would rather give the game time to the young lad lawall.

to me its like for like for nir bitton, big tall lad that can have a physical side to him but not better than what we have, mccarthy, gucci, who so far haven't shown anything and i wouldn't be surprised if they went, granted gucci hasn't had much chance but i think it was a mistake to get mccarthy in plus on a four yr deal so it could be hard to move him on, soro another that should be away and leave room for a more suitable player but whoever comes in they need to be better than the players above.

I really get why some fans are getting restless with the lack of signings it honestly feels like ground hog day again. We tried to sign XYZ but we couldn't get the deal done after chasing them all window to be left scrambling about last minute trying to get players in . Sound familiar to anyone?
After listening to Rodgers on Friday it sound like there in no one coming In imminently. If we do sign Idah Bernardo and a keeper similar quality to Hart then we are no stronger than we were last season and for me standing still in football is actually going backwards. On top of the three above I believe we would still need a lb cb cm winger and another striker and a replacement for O'Reilly that's 8-9 players and I don't think that unrealistic what we need to improve. The biggest problem is we have so much deadwood I can't see us getting those players in to take us forward until we get rid of some of these players off the books.

Week 2 of the window and here we go again. No one and and the world is ending.
Also being unrealistic 8 or 9 players is never going to happen. It did last window and look at the moans.
The quality we need, that would be a spend of 40-50 million including wages. Never happening.
I would rather spend 30 million on 3 real quality acquisitions but are those level of players going to come to us, not likely, so I would settle for 4 x 6-8 million players.
We have to be patient and realistic.

We have known the best part of 5 months we need a goalkeeper and there doesn’t seem to be one coming in imminently that’s one of the reasons I don’t have faith in us getting the right players in on time.

Knowing we needed a goalkeeper 5 months ago, certainly didn’t mean we should have picked up the best goalkeeper who was on a free at that time, .
Knowing we needed a goalkeeper 5 months ago has given us an opportunity to check out as many goal keepers as possible and the hope we sign as good a goalkeeper as possible.

What's everyone's thoughts on what positions we need to strengthen in the summer?
LB we only have Taylor
GK Hart retired
CB Really need to strengthen the two we brought in at start of season not fancied at all and Scales should only be a squad player.
CF love kyogo but you just don't know what kyogo will turn up . Don't think Idah is worth the money reported and Oh is not good enough
RW no one has nailed this position down all season after bringing in 3 wingers is shocking.
If am being greedy I would love a tough tackler in the middle of the park and If O'Reilly leaves he will need replaced am sure Ed will tell us how likely this is?

Think you've given a fair assessment of the main areas that we need to improve on and even definitely strengthen. Hatate is another player that can be a match winner or almost ineffective at times. James Forrest has put the rest to shame with his late flurry and I would say only Maeda on the other flank is an automatic choice.
Yesterday, I said that I hoped we could wrap the game up before the hour mark when multiple substitutions are usually made, because although it was probably our strongest bench, very few (if any) of them were what I would call first team starters.

Seriously- we need 2 GKs. 2 FBs that can defend the back post. 1 1st pick CB. 1 Def mid. Probably replacement for mor. Hatate gives the ball away far too much so that'll ensure no scouts will recommend him for pub league so he'll still be here. 2 wingers and 2 strikers. That's 11 new players.

My take on the season is it's been up and down and at one point I didn't think we could turn it around but experience, mentality and bottle got us there . It's not been free flowing football all season although we look like we are turning a corner. The players and manager need to take massive credit for getting us back into this position ??.
We played ourselves into a title race dropping silly points and where the makers of our own downfall. I hope lessons have been learned especially with regards to recruitment.

At this stage of the season, it's just beat whoever is in front of us. Not pretty this season but tbf we're heading for a good points total. I was a bit iffy when BR came back but credit where it's due. He's got mediocre players doing enough.
As a sub point, I don't think Idah is worth 3 mill or whatever the price is. No thanks.

We need to see a reaction today not just a result but a performance. The situation is what it is with the league, its self inflicted but we cannot let them stroll it we need to make them work for it .
It's a tough ask but we need to be near perfect for the remainder of the season and it all starts today. Today and the rest of the season will show who is fit to wear the jersey.
On a side note it wouldn't surprise me if we see kyogo playing off Idah off the left . Rodgers can't get a tune out kyogo through the middle and the wide men have been shocking and we know kyogo has played there before .

There’s no doubt Sevco have hit a purple patch but there will still be a few bumps before the end of the season.
Since losing to Celtic,
Sevco have scored the first goal in their last 9 league games which has resulted in 9 victories.
But they have lost 14 points this season after losing the first goal.
Celtic need to win today and hang in there.

Maeda and Khun hopefully play at a high tempo on the wings and get a fecking decent few crosses in for a change for Kyogo coming in at pace to finish them off. After all the negativity let's see how the players react with todays performance. Were due one as it's been awful to watch lately. Im usually pessimistic but today I'm going for Kyogo hat trick.

I am seriously torn on Bernardo . I think there is a player there but he didn’t exactly stand out for me . If his asking price was half what there asking I would say yes but at the price they want he is a no for me .

On what basis does anyone have faith in the board to deliver the players we are all crying out for? I hear people saying they have a feeling it’s going to be different but I am going on past failures and previous histories and not my gut .
I just think we have all seen this before we tried to sign XYZ but couldn’t get the deal over the line and end up last minute scrambling around to get players in.
After the last few windows and seeing how they have went I have zero faith in this board to deliver.
At the current moment in time we have the strongest squad in the league and should win the league but say kyogo McGregor and CCV get injured and we sell O’Reilly where does that leave our squad?

Mally I think he could be a really good player for us but he can’t get fit enough to play regularly. I heard someone say that’s why he didn’t play much last season .
He reminds me of Simunovic the way he plays and now his fitness issues.

I was at the game last night Mally and for me not one player stood out and it was a hard watch but it was just friendly after all.
One thing I would say is that I wouldn’t be up or down if any the players who took to the pitch weren’t at the club for the start of the season. That’s directed at the players around the first team last season. Bain, Welsh, Iwata, Kuhn, Oh, Yang, Holm, Nawrocki, Kobiyashi, Kwon and then you can add to that list with the likes of McCarthy Siegrist Lagerbielke bernabei . That is some amount of deadwood in my opinion.
Is the reason for lack of activity on the incomings that we need to get at least half the players above off the books first? It can’t be sustainable to stock pile anymore players who are not in my eyes contributing to the first team and just making up the numbers.
Then we might start to see some of the younger lads coming through like the lad Anderson you mentioned.
