Love jj as a player but wish he had a bit of ralston in him, loses too many 50 50s for me.

I think sometimes we try and 'nick' the ball away to try and keep possession because it's been installed in the players to do that however that creates the situation where the opposing player has gone in for a full hearted challenge and they come away with the ball. Anywhere near our box I'd like to see the mantra of safety over possession or into row 'Z' if you like ?.

Against better opposition we'll get punished that's a few occasions he's done it, but as av said he's quality.

To be honest I don't think there are many 50/ 50 ball winners in our squad, and I have seen a few incidents where we have shirked them. Fortunately, we have more skill and flair than any other SPL team and that has been the key to our success. However, a ball-winner or two can also be an asset in certain games.

Anthony Ralston not only has more dig than JJ he has more dig than anybody else at the club although we haven’t seen what Ollie at 6ft 4 has in his locker not only that Ralston is one of the best crossers of a ball we have.

I think a lot of our players are quick footed and don't have hooves, so they nick the ball without the potential injury causing collision. I bet that's how they are coached. They will need quick feet at weekend as it's clear Hearts want a physical game and to slow play down. All Hearts need is a lenient ref which they'll get.

Be interesting Buzz if VAR intervenes if their first few tackles. I bet they won't and it'll be down to teething issues. Just hope we don't get any injuries.
