Does anyone else think it is a real pity we did not appoint Postecoglou last October.
We would have been much closer in the league and he would have had two transfer windows to get his players in and more time to prepare preseason.

Not necessarily, he’s come in with a clean slate, the fans backing him and ability to bring in some players…

Any earlier under the circumstances of last season and with that squad and IMO your looking at a totally different scenario.

It would never have happened as it was Dom that identified Ange.
But let's just say Ange had came in last October he would have been associated with losing the 10 as some still believed that Lennon was the man for the job.
He would have also had to deal with Lawwell so there is no guarantee that Ange would have got the players he wanted in the winter transfer window.
Coming in when he did and after the Howe carry on was probably the best thing that could have happened to him as the supporters expectations were that low and people were saying that it could take a season before we see a big difference, I think the way he has turned the team and some players around has probably left the majority of the supporters stunned.

Jon I thought Ange was recommended by the Man City lad who was touted for the DOF role?

I know Dom has mentioned a few times that he knew of Ange from spending time in Japan and Australia and Ange was his man.
I hadn't heard of any Man City guy who recommended him although I may be wrong.

Let's not look back at what my daughter calls the dark times and let's be thankful we are in the light now.
