ED007, Heard anything concrete about a bid being accepted from Urawa red diamonds for Giakoumakis?

Few rumours flying around saying a fee has been agreed and he has accepted terms, the club is owned by Mitsubishi so they've apparently got cash to spend.

Gutted if he leaves before the summer, he's a major asset to us and we should be pulling out all stops to keep him imo.

{Ed007's Note - There is definitely interest in Giakoumakis from URD but I don't know if anything's been agreed, just because URD are owned by Mitsubishi doesn't mean they are rich and they would need to break their record transfer and probably their wage structure to land Gio.}

{Ed007's Note - The stories about Gio's wife wasn't that she was homesick, it was that she didn't like living in Scotland. Nobody seems to know what nationality his wife is.}

I'd be disappointed if he leaves but if his family aren't happy then he's got to do what's best for them. He's a great striker and completely different player from Kyogo, which we need.

If any player's family dynamic is affected by where they live then there's only going to be one winner.
It's exactly the same as any of us getting a job in ABC-land, if the missus says she hates it then you're going to go somewhere else.
If GG goes the so be it. I'd rather he stayed but I'm not the one who has to listen to his missus moaning and whinging. HH.
