It’s the exact same question.
The club value the player at X. If the club are not willing or do not value the player the same as the buying club then why would they pay that?

How do we know a bid was actually put it? You just have to look at what happened at Rangers at the start of the summer to realise the press know next to nothing! They have about 5 definite managers and none of the wwere Russell Martin, then they were signing Modric and half the Real Madrid reserves. All rubbish!
I am not impressed with this transfer window and perceived lack of movement but for now will sit tight as there is not much else we can do as fans until the window shuts and then we will know the true extent of our transfer dealings. If at the end of it we have been relatively inactive then we can complain and have a go at the board but right now we are allowing outside influences to sow the seeds of division amongst us fans!

I don't know a single person who believes we should pay whatever the asking price is. Thatscjust bollocks. What we are angry about those ambitionless badgers, offering an embarrassing lowball bids, then upping it with a couple of scrunched up fivers. A total embarrassment. Spivs to a man.
Why would they want a player who is worth pennies? Is that good enough for us? They are an absolute never ending joke. And we can't get rid of them and their bonuses. I absolutely detest them. Not a single ball between them.
