For less than the price of a Greggs breakfast, you can become a shareholder in Celtic PLC.
Owning even a single share gives you the right to attend the AGM, vote on resolutions and ask the Board of Directors questions about how our club is being run (assuming they don't devise another strategy to end the meeting early and avoid accountability) .
Rather than just complaining online, imagine a room full of informed supporters asking thoughtful, well-prepared questions and expecting proper answers. The more shareholders who turn up and engage, the greater the accountability. Also gives us the opportunity to send a message by voting against the reappointment of all the current directors.
For example:
On the managerial appointment:
"Could the Board explain the recruitment process that led to the appointment of Wilfried Nancy? Specifically, what criteria were used in assessing his suitability for managing Celtic, who was involved in the decision-making process, and who had ultimate responsibility for approving the appointment? Given the circumstances at the time, what risks did the Board identify, and why did it conclude that he was the right appointment? "
Or on investment and capital allocation:
"The Group paid approximately £12 million in corporation tax. Could the Board explain how it determined the appropriate balance between retaining taxable profits and reinvesting in the playing squad, football infrastructure and other long-term assets? What factors led the Board to conclude that this level of profit retention best served the Club and its shareholders? "
Whether your concerns are recruitment, football operations, infrastructure, communication, governance or finances, becoming a shareholder gives you a direct opportunity to ask the people making the decisions.
If more supporters became shareholders and attended the AGM, the Board would have to answer to more than just a handful of people each year.
It's something worth considering.

Meeting adjourned due to many questions. We will vote ourselves in at a behind the scenes vote. Go away and we will ask for money at every opportunity. We won't budge from our strategy.

"The new approach is designed to place supporters at the centre of descion-making, strengthening communication both on and off the pitch"? Let's see how this pans out.
