Our pursuit of Inheacho is typical of so many of our failed signings, I. e lowball. We thought it best to allow option to expire then offer lower wage. Given that MON wanted him it demonstrates the Board think they know best and financial prudence takes precedent over squad improvement/ retention.
I wasn't 100% on him when he came but for the reported wage as an impact sub and someone our young players could learn from ut should have been done.

I appreciate all that has been said about iheanacho but realistically he hasn't played a full season in 5 years and there is no guarantee he that will change.
A lot of money for no guarantee so I am glad we missed out tbh.
Can you imagine the tantrums there would have been had we signed him and 2 games in he's injured yet again.
