To those who think Celtic fans should not use our unique position to highlight genocide. Why don't you have a read at this:
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me.
For me, we have a platform and we should absolutely be using it to support those being treated like the Jews in WW2.

A very famous often quoted poem. The clergy man who wrote this after the war was an antisemitic person sympathiser. who fell foul of the regime not for condeming it's policies but for trying to stop losing power in the chuch to the state.
was this genuine contrition or reinventing himself. who knows?. but a very emotive poem. didn't christy Moore do something with this or similar?

Unique position. Your a football fan, not a politician.
People and countries don't listen to the most powerful man on the planet, Trump, without him dropping tens of thousands of bombs.
But you think in your unique ? position is going to make a difference.
I've enough going on in my own world to worry about others.
Sorry if that sounds selfish but that's my opinion and I'm entitled to it.
{Ed007's Note - The same is everybody else is entitled to theirs and to worry about what's going on in their own world....

Let's hope he never gets subjected to these horrors and prays for people to raise awareness of the pain and suffering and raise money to help him and his family and it falls on deaf ears as they are too selfish to care and show some compassion and humanity.
As once said, for evil to triumph, it just takes good men to do nothing.

Ed at no point did I say others weren't entitled to their opinion as I'm entitled to mine.
WeeJoe I'll never be in that position where I'll need help from others. I do things for me and my family without help from anyone.
Supporting a football team should be just that. Not a vehicle for anything else.
{Ed007's Note - Never say never....

So how would you protect your family and provide for them while living under the conditions in Gaza?
