From ex ref Clattenburg, “Motherwell goalkeeper Calum Ward punches the ball and at the same time collides with Celtic’s Daizen Maeda in the follow through.

“I would be surprised if a penalty was given as two players are going for the ball and the goalkeeper clearly gets a touch on the ball before the coming together.

“Very rarely is a penalty given in such situations in football. Do not expect a penalty. ”.
That put to bed AJ tackle on Moore.
On our stonewall penalty at Motherwell, for that ball to come off the players head, it would have needed to be on the right side off his head ( because his hand is right in the middle of his head) which would have made the ball go off to the right. So now they’re trying to rewrite the laws of physics. They also said it’s Trusty’s fault as his face pushed his hand up. Trusty made a standing jump, the Motherwell player flew into him, with his elbow high which is clearly a foul for dangerous play.
Pity there isn’t a list who has benefited from VAR decisions overall, pretty sure we could be near bottom.

I didn't think the well keeper touched the ball.

The well keeper did get the ball but long after the contact with Maeda. I think it wasn't given as Maeda was moving toward the goalkeeper too and didn't get a touch on the ball.

Initially, I thought Maeda had fouled the goalie and I'm sure that would have been the decision if Engels had netted!

Any other team in world would have got pen for the maeda one.
