Looks like we’re losing out with McKenna Edd,1 more win against QPR at home and they are promoted, can see him wanting another crack in big league even if it’s a relegation fight over trophies with us. a think it will be Keane whick am not Keane on (?)

{Ed007's Note - If McKenna stays at Ipswich he will be out of a job by Christmas and then what? Scraping around on the Pub League merry go round, does a double relegation improve his credentials...

If we make McKenna an offer, its a huge decision for him.

Ipswich and Coventry will both probably struggle back in the pub league if Ipswich make it imo.

They just do not have the players or finance to realistically get away from the bottom of the pub league.

Coventry might just scrape a few wins and possibly get out of the bottom 3 but Ipswich imo will really struggle unless they get huge investment.

McKenna will have a real quandary, does he remain and potentially get sacked or relegated a 2nd time, whereby tarnishing his reputation and only being seen as a good championship Manager or does he move, potentially to us and to possibly win trophies, managing in CL (if we qualify) and potentially put himself in the shop window.

It is a huge decision if we indeed go after him.

As it stands, I have no idea who we are going to get in, whether it be McKenna, the Motherwell manager or one of our ex-players regularly linked.

Whoever it is, it is the most important signing the club will or has to make in many, many seasons.

We are at a crossroads and this appointment will signal where the board see us going.

Another crazy French man and we are in serious trouble but a McKenna level manager, will demonstrate a potential chance of change.

Ed, I take your point, wholeheartedly. But. money talks. It is what it is. In no way shape or form is he leaving Ipswich if they go up.

Mkenna. askou. Murphy. people will be on the fence as they've won nothing but would soil their pants over thomas frank who also has won nothing.

Our board rubbish on one of our most successful managers, that will have all but the naive asking serious questions before coming to us.
