I’m trying to do a post Mortem about today.
Dundee United only had 24% possession and also only had a 50.7% successful pass rate but yet had 19 shots at goal and one more corner than us ( 7 ) .
Celtic had a 81.7% successful pass rate.
Dundee United only played 17 backward passes in the whole game compared to Celtic playing 87 backward passes.
Dundee United deserve some credit on how to play on their horrendous pitch better than us because that was the difference on the day.
A 50.7% successful pass rate but yet 19 shots shows they had some kind of game plan on how to play on that surface and we couldn’t cope.

I’m not buying into that pitch was the same for both sides.
The stats show that Dundee United knew how to play on that home surface and used that advantage to get a good result.
Fair play to them they deserved their victory.
I’m clinging onto that Celtic were unfortunate we had Dundee United today on that unfair surface and I think Hearts and Sevco would have also got beat today.
Plastic surfaces suit the home team and that pitch definitely suited Dundee United today, who knew how to maximise that surface with only a 50% pass success rate but yet still managed 19 shots only confirms that.

We have 75% possession in most matches but we don’t do anything with it.
