Out of the most mentioned media rumours who woukd you pick. keane clark askou ange Martinez. (would / could clark maloney be a good managerial pairing? ) . or will there be a take a chance appointment ie mkenna.
{Ed007's Note - McKenna's a take a chance appointment and Askou isn't?

The fact these candidates from international managers to head coaches are on the same list tells me the Celtic board has absolutely no strategic plan for developing recruitment and football structure ie. DOF etc.

McGlynn or Askou.

Tbh all of them are take a chance if your saying McKenna is.
None have had any more success as club managers than the rest, apart from Ange and he has already said he doesn't go back.
Martinez club record isn't great, neither is Clarks, Keanes or McKennas, but the latter 2 are young managers.
For me it is about the style of football we want and McKenna and Askou are the more fluent, and that is taking Ange out of the equation.
I am not convinced any of them are the transformational appointment we really need to change the direction of the club however being realistic about our board, these are the people they will be looking at.
If forced to choose, I would choose Ange, that's being sentimental tbh and then McKenna. I like how his team play and with better players, he could be successful I think.
The Motherwell Manager is in his first season and needs a few more to see if he can continue to develop that team.
Part of what has made them look good, is the top 3 teams are poor.
If we improve in the summer along with the dead and baby dead, we can judge Askou then.
Clark is too defensive and boring for me Scotland could do better if they were freed a bit from his defensive tactics.
Martinez has a better record at national level than club. His record with Belgium, considering the quality at his disposal isn't fantastic.
Keane for me is a total unknown. He is a comparatively new Manager in a difficult league. He is doing OK but is his style of play what we need.
As some of us have said already, this is a huge summer for Celtic in respect of a new Manager, players and youth set up for future success.
There are going to be huge changes in the playing squad and we need an experienced Manager who is able to get his team to play competitively really quickly if we have CL qualifying game/ games to play.
Our biggest challenge in our summer recruitment and strategic overhaul is of course the board.
Unless they have already identified a Manager, players and looked at the overhaul of our youth/ recruitment system, we will not move forward in any meaningful way.
We will stumble through the transfer window and come out the other end in no way better than we entered.

We need a manager that can develop the youth, that can recruit young Scottish talent, we don't need another manager that has to depend on a fat cheque book, then complain about how he wanted Ferrari and got polski fiats, get John Mcglynn in.

No chance of McKenna if win promotion and they still have a chance.
