I watched that today and witnessed Scales who's probably been or most consist perform over the last season n a half play left wing with Tierney. I watched Scales play in midfield as if he playing the inverted system. I watched Scales trott back I think for the 3rd goal when there was a St Mirren player to his right which he failed to see. Trust not knowing weather to push over or stick. Scales realising the player was there and it was to late.
I'm not getting at Scales. What I'm showing is a player who has played well in defence now has no clue where to play. That's not down to him that's down to the manager telling where and how to play.
But I do have a bit of sympathy for him. He's been handed a load of crap and asked to polish it. Yes O'Neil got the players playing for him and to a simple game plan, but let's face it he papered over the cracks and we weren't scoring a lot of goals.
We have no front line to speak of, Iheanacho looked decent he went off and we had nothing.
Apart from 10 mins before the goal the performance was one of the worst I've seen.
Who knows where we go from here. New manager, new board (which is never going to happen)
At this moment on time Mr Blobby would be a better manager.

I said the same to my Wife watching the match.
Scales was left to run down the wing and cross ball into the box the whole second half.
Surely if the system was working a more forward thinking player would be crossing the balls into the box.

Celtic have only scored 8 away goals in the league from 7 games and that's the same as St. Mirren.
Kilmarnock have scored 10 away from 8 games.
Dundee United 11 away goals from 8 games.
Bottom club Livingston have scored 7 away goals from 7 games.

Stevie 27 yes we've not scored a lot of goals recently. Last 3 games we've scored 2 goal a and don't look like scoring many more.

That's my point 19 in 8 games under O'Neil is not too shabby.
