Morning Bhoys. Having time to reflect on yet another gutless effort by our supposed team of superstars, this is my take.
Schmeichel. There's still a keeper there but he's starting to look like he panics a bit when being rushed
Ralston. Fair play to Tony. He gives a million percent for his team but he lacks the basic skills we require for a right back and I wince every time he goes in for his mad sliding tackles. Goes missing too often where he should be.
Scales. We have a decent centre half in him but his indecisiveness see us missing out more often than not with the 'killers pass.
CCV. Man, I hate to say this but the big man is showing signs that he's either downed tools or he's just lost a bit of that impenetrable persona he had when he joined. I now worry sometimes when he's on a one to one. As for defending corners and long throws, where is he sometimes?
Tierney. Such a frustrating lad. Has oodles of talent but his fitness is holding him back. His link up play with Tounekti is lacking but not all his fault there (Tounekti comes later)
Nygren. After a great start has came off the boil a bit but still puts in a shift. A first time starter for me everytime.
Calmac. Love the boy but he's finished. All huff and puff with no real direction. His lung bursting runs of the past are, in the past and he's showing he's now capable of the silly mistakes that were never a part of his game. It's a difficult one, personally I don't think he should be starting and should be used similar to James Forrest as a 60 minute sub.
Rio. Has a stinker more often than a good game nowadays. Runs around a lot and gets nowhere. Needs a few weeks on the bench to let him know he's not playing well.
Tounekti. Great winger and dribbler but is being found out by defenders who are forcing him inside where I don't think he likes to be. Here's the frustrating kicker. He needs to pass more and stop trying to take on the world. That's where him and Tierney are frustrating the life out me. The two of them should be finding the line every time but they just don't seem to be on the same page.
Yang. Is just wrang! Does my head in. Should be ripping these defences a new one. Doesn't.
Iheanacho. You can tell he is getting exasperated with the lack of balls towards him. He's making the runs and not getting the service. As the old saying goes, feed him and he'll score.
That was just the starting 11. I could go on about the subs but they made little impact.
All in all, another poor performance and a sign that again our manager can't change things enough to deal with the on field situation. Blame the board all you want and I do. A shocking dereliction of duty and a severe lack of competence but on the field is where it counts and our manager looks like he can't be bothered.
We go 8 behind the diet tarts next week if we play the same garbage football. Hopefully a wake up call.

Iheanacho was fed a few good balls but his touch was woeful. Bring Shin back into squad as Kenny ain't anywhere near it.

Same predictable, boring formation. Same predictable, selection of out of form players and pretty much zero urgency. Was anyone really surprised at yesterday's result?

The BoD are ultimately responsible for their penny-pinching approach but BR and his "favourites" need to take a lot of the blame for the poor predictable performances.

Worst 4 players first half, CCV, Calmac, Hatate and Yang, yet 3 stayed on at half time. I've said it before, CCV is weak in the air at both ends and should now be "cover" for Murray. Ralston is a trier but well below his best, yet Donovan has to sit and watch from the bench. Hatate hiding all day, McGowan did more work in his cameo than he managed in 70 mins. Calmac had umpteen chances to break forward and drive at their defence but as usual chose to pass sideways.

Tounetki continually cuts inside, get him on the right and tell him he, (and his full back) needs to hit the byline more often. No wonder teams can snuff us out as we predictably play in front of them for 90 mins.

It's football at it's most basic, keep the opposition guessing, how we line up, who will be playing, how they will play in that formation. We're slow, boring and ultimately, entirely predictable. A dream for opposing managers.

We need to realise that we can’t keep going back and forth around the circumference of the box waiting for an opening that isn’t there. We need to make things happen by going more direct. Nobody can put a first time ball into the box, everyone wants two or three needless passes inevitably shutting down any space they had. Most teams play the same way against us, so we need to get right in amongst them and force the opening. Our entire squad is lightweight and need beefing up. As for short corners, we always end up back on the halfway line. We don’t have a right to win every game but we do have a right to better performance from the players we have.

You missed out the manager who must see all the things mentioned but still perseveres hoping rather than expecting that things will change.
It's well reported that Simpson-Pusey, Inamura and Yamada have been totally blanked since arriving, but he is also refusing to start with his own alleged signings like Bernardo, Trusty, Engels as well as others like Donovan and McCowan who can do a job.
I appreciate the squad has been depleted in quality since last season but surely Yang and Kenny apart, there is still a good enough squad for the SPL?
It has become clear that most of our opponents know how to stop us play and gat results. Brendan Rodgers is far too stubborn and set in his ways to see his team selections, tactics and substitutions are not working and most of that team yesterday looked lost.

Tournetki suffers as he too often gets the ball whilst in a standing position and with 2 defenders right on top of him . He needs a player probably left back to work a one two to give him a chance . it doesn’t happen. Not many managers with a ist team squad as weak in certain positions as our’s would ignore Skin and Inamura . .
We are certainly not good enough to ignore some players out of manager’s spite.
We need a big up turn in our performances and we need it now.

It's Rodgers fault, they haven't suddenly become bad players, but when you have a manager who continually goes on about, how they are not good enough quality, they are a team with F Honda's, when he wanted Ferraris, how are the players meant to be motivated, the guy is useless.
