When we entered the summer transfer window we only needed to strengthen a few areas to hopefully keep us progressing. We also had to get them in before champions league qualifier.

We needed two left backs. One to replace Taylor which we got and another to replace schlupp, which we didn't get until the end of the window, which probably led to Tierney picking up an injury and scales being put of position.

We needed a LCB which we didn't get.

We needed a RW which we didn't get.

We needed two strikers and we only got one and it remains to be seen if he will be good enough to be number 1. Again we didn't get him until after the window closed.

We also needed a LW, but we got two and again waited until the window was nearly closed.

We also needed a CM, so we had 2 for each position. You could argue we did t get this right as Nygren does not look suited to CM.

This is 3 positions we did not strengthen that really needed it. This cost us 40 million as we did not qualify for the CL.

I will try and detail the previous 4 windows to highlight a pattern of the board failing in this respect.

No matter how many self-righteous, condescending statements these horses arses release, it cannot mask their incompetence and how out of touch they are with the manager, supporters and their complete lack of how to properly run a FOOTBALL club.

Wee Joe / Celtic mad

And it’s not a standalone isolated incident - Michael Nicholson has now overseen half a dozen failed transfer windows as CEO and panned each and every one of them in - is it 7 out of 9 failed attempts to qualify for champions league and 5 consecutive failures? Other than when we’ve qualified automatically - we wouldn’t be playing in champions league at all - that’s half a dozen failures x circa £30-40 million - equating to £200 million - setting aside the footballing aspect - it’s corporate negligence from a PLC perspective.

There is no way the board can survive this - the chairman and CEO need to fall on their sword as a minimum - and also from the point of agents and clubs who’ll be reluctant to deal with the club moving forward due to the reputational damage done - at least the new guard would be able to say that was the old guard and they’re binned. But that still leaves thee major problem - DD - but that’s a long ball game - his shares are his shares and he won’t be easy to dislodge. But what does need addressed when a new regime is established is DDs disproportionate control relative to his minority shareholding. That’s for other shareholders to resolve - and fan action damaging the club financially can be a catalyst for that - replacing three board members with another three DD lackeys and it will be as we are - if you keep doing what you’re doing you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.

The business operating model and structure of the club never mind the footballing side from a player trading and recruitment perspective is dysfunctional and needs overhauling root and branch. We’re a works team. The business just happens to have a football team.

But the statement a few weeks ago which was the epitome of arrogance and ignorance and the chairman and CEO’s comments accompanying accounts tells me theirs no accountability and no failure on their part - an absolute insult to the intelligence of the Celtic support not least the reference to 55.

They are at limits of their individual and collective capability. The one bright light on the horizon is that their credibility and cover as competent is blown and it can’t be recovered. They are incompetent - and their incompetence is there for all to see.

But we’re in a new place whether they like it or not.

They've been banking the money for a rainy day - well this is the rainy day you were saving for so what are you going to do about it?

Spot on JFP.

I would add two important items to the list.

The board claim the glory of unprecedented success without recognition that they had no credible opposition in the league and cups.

As much as it pains me to admit this even in the years we qualified directly for the group stages we have done so on the back of Sevco raising the co efficient points. After one knockout win in twenty years that point is unarguable and I would love someone to ask it at the AGM.

There won't be any changes on the board while the club are still selling 53,000 season tickets. Anyone that thinks otherwise is kidding themselves on.
