Just read something that sums up where we are at this moment, 1 week before we kick off. It stated that the manager has been working for weeks with a group of players in full knowledge several of them aren't what he wants or needs and won't feature when the season starts. Regardless of who we get in now the manager hasn't been offered time to integrate them into the team preseason as has been his desire. Poor state of affairs but unfortunately is not in the least unexpected. For years and years we have operated a "stand still" mentality. We don't buy until we lose players and generally go like for like at best. Pushing the boat out whilst in a position of strength is not in our Physki.

What nonsense. BR has admitted all the players that have come in have been rubber stamped by him. So he is working with players he wanted.

I was under the impression that BR's forte was coaching players and making them better, so is this an untruth? Is BR just another cheque book manager who buys great players and then the players turn the team into a great team rather than the manager taking average players and forming them into a great team.

He done well with Khun.

MIP I'm not talking about new signings, guys like Welch, Montgomery and Tilio have featured. None of them will be near the 1st team when the real action starts.

We've been giving Welsh a run out in pre season now for about 5 seasons, when's the penny going to drop that he is a bang average player who isn't good enough.

BR is also quoted as saying that if you bring in a £3M player, develope and sell him for £15, you should be looking to get a £9M one to improve and sell for £30M. Not exact figures but you get the point.

He did well with Kuhn for maybe a dozen or so matches . Normally success for a footballer is counted in the number of good seasons he has had with a club, not just part of the season .
I agree BR’s strong point is normally his ability to get the best out of players individually or collectively as a team .
I am not sure he has ever proved himself to have a good eye. for talent and his ability to pick a player who suits the team he is building.
I am not sure his insisting that he has the final say in all players we are signing is a good thing over- all for club . i think it could be a reason for delay in our signings and it is keeping him away from doing what he. does best, coaching players. Maybe he should have insisting on club bringing on Board someone who both Board and him trusted to be a good judge of signing the players who suited. bR . Is Paul Tisdale not this man and why was he employed if he isn’t.

Or he could get another three £3M players with the £9M, develop and sell them for £15M each .

The point BR was making was about raising the the quality year on year by self funding.
