Although the wait is frustrating I have absolute no doubt we will improve the squad before the window closes.
We will strengthen the wide areas, CB and CF plus back ups for LCB and LB.

There's nothing happened at Ibrox that should concern us and our only real objective is getting through to CL.
We operate in a tiny country and a non competitive league, we have to realize already established, good quality players do not want to play in Scotland.

Agree6 Disagree0

So why not identify the ones that do. Other teams seem to manage. We, if rumours are to believed, spend a lot of time chasing people who don’t want to come then. And if that is the case, the jan window should be the focus of prep for the CL and new season ahead.

I like your optimism Divcelt, but I've seen this movie too many times before, gambling with CL qualification and gambling that we will be good enough to win the league with what we've got. We should be miles ahead on the park with the resources we have.
I hate this attitude of just wanting to be a bit better than TRIFC

One of those seasons it will come back to bite us.

Think it's called austerity.

It’s barely a week ago similar minded fans to those we have this week couldn’t believe what was happening, the number and quality of new players we have signed . Someone must have collectively thrown water out of glasses, as from a fan base of half full optimists, we suddenly have a fan base of half empty pessimists .

To have concerns is natural as much as choosing optimistic views both based on hypothetical. You are only proven right after the fact either side you fall on. We have seen this movie before so I think to dismiss concerns is unrealistic imo. I am sure as fans we all only want what's best. Until after the fact we are all in the same boat. Then we will have the told you so's.

Divocelt, we need a quality sitting midfield player who can put his foot in to tackles, win the ball , keep possession and pick the right pass .

If we had a CEO who actually engaged with the support or even just spoke to us, at least we could form an opinion!

The importance and influence of the support on our unique club has been frittered away over the decades. Big Jock's quote of football being nothing without us has long been forgotten by the power brokers and millionaires who run Celtic. The only time we hear any reference to the support from our Board, usually contains negative and destructive friction regarding flags, banners or pyro's.
Important source of cash, but bottom of their customer care list.

Normally the only CEO who engages with the support is a CEO who himself and the football side of his club are failing very badly . We rarely hear anything from CEO’s who has a successful Board and team. A week to 10 days ago it was a pleasure to come on hear and read so many comments about how it was so unbelievable that Celtic Board had brought in so many players so early in window . If Jock Stein ( RIP) was around today, he would be talking about the Celtic fans never had it so good . Many of us had to stand in Jungle and open no roof behind goals at Celtic end, Put our hands in own pocket, and find it full of pish . From ‘66-74 we had the enjoyment of 9 in a row . When Murray got his cheating going in ‘90’s we suffered their 9 in a row .
We found out club was almost skint and many of us who had never been in a bank had to buy shares and spend Christmas money or money for a caravan down the coast buying shares to keep Celtic alive .
We now have a first class football stadium and a first class team 13 / 14 SPL’s
World record consecutive trebles many doubles and last season our best CL run for a very long time .
Does anyone think with what Celtic fans are blessed with that Jock Stein wouldn’t remind our supporters that we never had it as good on and off the pitch .
Many will call me a Board lackey, call me what you want, but since I went to Celtic Pk in the late 1960’s we are definitely living through are best ever times .
I have heard people ridiculing our Board and Board members but I have yet to be made aware of an attempt over the last 20 years to oust anyone from Board by any fan or fans of our great club.
