The Inamura deal is a puzzling one for me. I can see all the negatives etc but his age is the most puzzling as he is 23. Similar route to Reo but played a lot less, how much can u improve at 23 is the question.
We simply cannot have a 6.0 foot central defender alongside CCV.
We would be bullied at set pieces etc and spl teams would just target him.
So to the positives, does BR see something else in him we dont.
Im thinkin LB is obvious as he is good on the ball, but could he be brought in to be trained up to be a 6. Being 6.0 is much more a physical attribute in midfield and he can ping a ball, along with power and pace that BR goes on about. Added to that you have extra ariel ability.
I know im stretching guys but can't think of anything else.
{Ed007's Note - Hatate hadn't played many games (70ish) before we signed him either Ray, it's because they go to university before turning professional, Hatate was 22 when he made his professional debut & 24 when he signed for us.}

Yea i thought it was something like that ed, but you could see how good Reo was straight away.
As good as Reo is im not sure he has improved much.

6ft is alright height for a centre back and realistically centre backs tend to hit their prime 26-32. I think he has plenty of time for development. Give the guy a chance.

Seen a Japanese guy online saying we need to be patient with him but he has some potential. never seen the boy but hardly a ringing endorsement .

KT should never be near CH . He only played there to accommodate an off form captain in Robertson.

How can we compare Inamura with Hatate or anyone else, we haven’t seen him play . Initially I thought Japanese players would struggle against SPL rough and bullying players, but surely BR and others would expect that and if they think he is good enough, who am I to disagree.
