I am looking for some feedback to hopefully prove I am not loosing it. Watching Izzy this season is driving me mad especially last night when so much is on the line. Since he got back from the World Cup he gives the ball away in dangerous territory, gives away way too many free kicks and in general is just not playing well at all. Am I the only one or is Ronny seeing this but keeps playing him, maybe he just needs more rest. I would rather give a youth player a chance or play Efe at left back until Izzy is ready to come back.

1.) Yes he has been really inconsistent but we are just into the season! He's been doing well in attack with his delivery s maybe in the Cl we should play 3 at the back with wing backs for more cover and counter attacking. Would let izzy Mathews/izzy get forward with good cover.

2.) Izzy is a bit of a bombscare in europe and has been since his injury but to say put ambrose in there is jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. Ambrose is one of the dodgiest players we have had at the club for a while IMO and although he can get away with it more often than not in the SPL he gets found out in europe. I would stick with Izzy until we have signed a replacement whenver that is!

3.) I think Izzy needs real competition and I don't think the youth players are good enough for that (unfortunately). I would like to see a decent left back brought in.

4.) Izzy love of taking the ball up into attack was obviously noted by Maribor who seemed to have an extra man on that side trying to stop Izzy. Despite the pressure I thought Izzy did well.

5.) @3, I have'nt watched any of the youth games, and I don't know how good or not the young fullbacks are, (apart from fisher)but maybe there is an undiscovered gem in there, thing is they never get the chance, cause the management have been frightened of taking a chance with a young guy in an important match, maybe RD will be different, I hope, although I don't understand why Henderson not being given a role in midfield.

6.) He has been like that for a long time; very good going forward and delivering crosses - but terrible defending.
He lacks basic positional sense and since his injury he shirks tackles.

7.) Aindoh, I don't think there is a hidden gem.

They aren't good enough and its time some them moved on. Harsh but true and as RD said, he doesn't give away minutes - they have to be earned.

So Peterborough chairman is saying, "i used to be a Celtic fan but no more". Apparently the lad we bid on had to be taken off because we were bidding on him during the game and it unsettled him, so my question is who the f**k was telling this lad during the game that the Glasgow Celtic was bidding for his services, these type of stories amaze me.

I have just spent the last hour or so reading the tabloids and you would think it is the end of the world Celtic FC going through to the group stage of the champions league. The Herald in particular state that it was a get out of jail night and their marks out of 10 with comments are a lot to be desired. For me tonight Efe Ambrose was fantastic and Commons was outstanding. Forrest, take away the goal was sub par to say the least and I am I am worried about Charlie, player of the year to ordinary. Over all I am so happy we made it to the group stages but need some new blood.

1.) Agree with you about Forrest and Muglrew. Both are pretty awful, Mulgrew couldn't pass go in Monopoly, is it because he's being played in so many different positions?, he is a full back and an emergency centre back, nothing more or nothing less. Forrest needs to get his injury sorted and to work twice as hard as he does.

2.) Celtsm,

I agree, but if you think the Herald was bad, look at the Scotsman - a disgrace of a paper that never has a good word for our Club. Surprisingly, Keith Jackson's report in the Record is excellent (never thought I'd ever say that).

Biton takes the ball but just gives it straight back to the player who passed to him. Emilio needs more time off from World Cup IMO and Stokes is not Celtic class. Our midfield had no idea what they were doing and couldn't break down Legia at all, no imagination. Matthews and McGregor probably the two most imaginative at going forward but at the end of the day we don't deserve anything over these legs and lack of investment has hurt this Celtic team.
