Today, and for the rest of the season Celtic should be able to field a "development" team prior to European ties.
We should be using players who need game time or those returning from injury. There are enough quality midfielders and front players to cope.
My concern though is why we have no defensive players coming through the academy, not since John Kennedy.
Celtic should also invest in a Striking coach.
Chris Sutton would be my choice. he learned from Gianluca Vialli, shortly before joining us. I'm sure he would love to have some input to seeing the bhoys being able to not only qualify for the Champions League group stage, but once again getting to the last 16 and beyond.
Any thought?
1.) Well today's team selection has given a good few players the chance to grab the managers attention.
I must admit I was surprised to see so many changes, but they all have SPL experience and need games.
We complained about the staleness of Celtic under NL and the lack of chances given to fringe players, but RD is certainly utilising his full squad.
Whether I am confident enough to predict a win at one of our most difficult venues is another story, but I applaud the manager for trying new ideas and formations early in the season to gauge our capabilities.

2.) EK Bhoy, A have been saying on here for last 6 months at least about a striking coach and Sutton as one of the possibilities and got a few pelters for it mate

RD has already said he wants a coach in to work on "finishing" a for one hope he does atvb jb7
