Cant understand the uproar about the Sevie penalty claim. The job of VAR in this situation is 1) check if foul is committed 2) check that no infringements have taken place in lead up to foul, in this case we don't know if VAR got it wrong by saying no foul was committed, but the foul became irrelevant as it was clearly offside. Our incompetent officials got this one correct by default.
The Celtic penalty claim in the 2nd half was multiple errors from the officials. Firstly when Kyogo received the ball he was shown to be onside. Linesman initially kept his flag down only to put it up when Turnbull was clearly pushed in the box. The linesman should never have put his flag up when an incident happened in the same phase of play, as this takes away VAR being able to get involved.
