For me the ideal candidate sitting there is Graham Potter he's young and plays good football. He managed in a lower league and teams around Europe took notice. Went to Brighton and worked wonders, Chelsea the less said the better they are like spurs get rid of managers on a whim. but I think with Potter we would at least see him give us 3 years and he would relish a crack at Europe.

To be fair he just got players flung at him, don't think he had much say,

Oh man we've started this already. I agree that Potter would be a great guy to get but to say he'd give us at least 3 years is utter nonsense. If he won the league and mid way through 2nd season he's offered Everton for talking sake. he'd be off down that road quicker than you could say "sign an extension". O lu guys we can be confident will give us maybe 3 years would be likes of Kennedy or maybe Broony. Guys from other countries will not commit to a long term deal with us.

Why is it utter nonsense he has been in the premier league do you never think that sometimes now managers want the same stability as what a club and fans does and we would certainly give him that. im sick of the pub league thinking they are better than everyone else. if I get to win trophies every year at a club and showcase what I can do in Europe why would I want to go to an Everton.

More money, less pressure, less hassle from the press, less scrutiny and better competition?

And very likely no career after 6 months.

You're asking why Potter would jump ship and head back to England to even a bottom half club? Because these guys want to pit their wits against the best. They want to stand on the touchline going up against pep, klopp, ten hagg etc. Not looking into the other Technical area to see Bloody naismith who can't even be called a manager, Barry Robson, malky mckay or martingdale. That's why. Potter may come and conquer but he ain't staying 3 years.

The sacked managers usually find another gig and the payoff gives you plenty of time to find something else.

But will still receive a massive pay off @Heatoflisbon.

I hope to god one day the pub league crashes and burns there erratic spending puts everyone at a disadvantage. My brother told me he watched the January transfer window and they were stating that a team in the bottom half of the prem could outbid real Madrid or bayern Munich just now.

I agree with potter but not sure it will
happen. He will likely sit it out for an early sacking in the EPL.

{Ed007's Note - And he's sitting on gardening leave from Chelsea on an estimated £50 million deal.}
