we continue to concede goals shortly after an initial set back or goal against our team.

Lazio 28/ 11/ 23
Goals 82,85mins

Athletic Madrid 07/ 11/ 23
Goals 60,66,76,84

RB Leipzig 11/ 10/ 22
Goals 75,84

Real Madrid 06/ 09/ 22
Goals 56,60,

Real Betis 09/ 12/ 21
Goals 69,74

Leverkusen 25/ 11/ 21
Goals 82,87

Real Betis 16/ 09/ 21

Average 2.3mins between goals ?

The average may be incorrect as i "dogged" the school that day ?.

I mentioned the same to my Son when the 2nd goal was scored.

Also conceding at vital times in matches. I noticed a fair few goals before and after Half time.

we need a convincing performance and result on Sunday.

I was going to wait until i'd watched the highlights to put my 50p onto the chat but unfortunately the lovely west lothian weather has put a stop to that (on a side note. don't get sky glass, rubbish) .

I thought we were extremely wasteful on the ball and careless in possession. As I said, i've not watched it back but I wasn't impressed with Reo but one positive was certainly the performance of Scales. Lagerbielke seems to be struggling and was unlucky tonight with the red but just always seems to be "him" in the thick of any drama on the park. I'm sure he will settle down and he is just a young lad who has moved country etc.

The goal was a typical european away fixture goal for us to concede. Easily avoidable but found it interesting that BR was quick to say the players changed the wall line up during the game and it wasn't his tactic ?

regardless, i'm confident with a few players back we can get 3pts at home against them.

Anyways i'm away to read a book because theirs no teles working in this house! F#*k Skyglass ?.

Lagerbielke doesn't hide that's for sure! Never a second yellow imo.

Neither was the first yellow for Lagerbielke or McGregor’s. I posted last night, that I thought the ref was poor very inconsistent.

Can you add me to the injury list.

Tripped on the wains toy and rolled my ankle. will be a laugh walking from the station to parkhead the mora ?

Positive performance and result tomorrow + i fancy the "peeepol" to draw.

I was in quite a bad car crash in the early 1990s at 3am on the Saturday morning.
I got out of hospital after a checkup but the other 3 were kept in overnight.

I still made it to Tynecastle and practically crawled that massive road from the bus to the ground.

I eventually got into the hazardous ground due to the frost and Celtic lost the only goal of the match in the FIRST Minute.

Something tells me it was a mistake from Mark McNally that caused the game and then it was another agonising walk back to the bus.

I hope your right about the results HolyGoalie.

Paracetamol and drink on the train will get you to the game and back pain free.
Think Ross County should give them a game tomorrow, but think if sevco are struggling tavpen will be called into action.
No way will we be allowed a 4 or 6 point gap the week before we visit the bile pit.

After punishing myself again and watching the highlights I agree with some posts below and I can't see any real system that we are playing. Whatever we've done certainly doesn't suit our captain as I've yet to see him play anywhere near his best so far.

I'm hoping that it's a combination of new players, the killie pitch and learning BR system that caused todays result.

A big performance next week at home is required and a big performance from the recruitment staff to get some "first team ready" players in the door.

Keep the faith n aw that P! #h ?.

I have no real evidence to back this up however my gut tells me that Reo not starting yesterday will green light his exit from us this window.

If that is the case i think we need to hurry up on the recruitment side. I have seen posts here and on twitter from fans claiming it takes longer to conclude "big name" signings etc. however BR has squashed any potential big money signings. I understand BR has only had 1 competitive match with the squad but it's clear where we need to strengthen so i ask, why we haven't and will we even do so?

When did BR squash any potential big money signings?
What he did say was "I think everyone looks and thinks that we might be bringing in a £15m-£20m player, now the reality is that that won't be the case, "
Exactly what would you say is a Big Money signing for us considering our transfer record is £9m? I for one wouldn't expect us to just jump from that to spending £15-£20m on 1 player.
We may sign someone in the range of £7-9m and for me that would be a Big Money signing and we may at somepoint over the next 2 or 3 seasons pay £10-£12m especially with the new CL format generating more money but there would be no way we would jump from £9m to £15m as that would be just to much of a risk.
Also I think we have all seen over the last few years that if our scouting is good then we don't need spend £8, £9 or £10m on 1 player.

2.) 07 Aug 2023 09:32:31
Totally agree Jon. No one at the club came out and suggested we would spend that amount of money. The media ceated that story, basically suggesting BR was only coming back if we promised him loads of money to spend, why else would he come back. Nothing about hs connection to the club.

Our model has always been buy low, sell high. BR has always been aware of that. There are real quality players out there worth 5-10 mil, who could be developed and sold for 15 mil upwards. That is our model.

Being serious, a player of value of 15 mil upwards is not going to see his football futurein SPFL, we are kidding ourselves if we think they are. Their wage demands would be commensurate wwith their value.

We are not in Govan, where we sell our sole to try and be successful in the short term, we have a solid longterm business model.

At some point European/ World football will implode, it cannot sustain the money running through it and we cannot and should not try and compete financally with these so called big teams. C.V. demonstrated that our model protected us better than most and will again.

Just my opinion.

HH.

Can see both arguments here. Maeda provides the energy and tempo (mainly to recover the ball i feel) to the boss’s game plans. I also agree that Abada has better end product and creativity than maeda but WE ALL have to remember that Abada is only 20 years old!

The young lad has hit the ground running and has huge potential but still has a lot to learn and hopefully it’s learnt here at Celtic for many years to come ??.

I agree with potter but not sure it will
happen. He will likely sit it out for an early sacking in the EPL.

{Ed007's Note - And he's sitting on gardening leave from Chelsea on an estimated £50 million deal.}

Cheers Buzz.

I agree the pitch will be a leveller for the semi in some respects.

I 100% agree because we would all be going tonto if it was given against us. No doubt that’s our token penalty to allow a few “honest mistakes” next week ?.
