Record reporting the fee for Starfelt will be around 4.3m.

Basically what we paid for him.

When I saw the reputed £9.5M, I thought that Stevie Wonder had scouted him.
That is about a fair price for him, just to get our money back.
I have never been impressed by him. CCV made him just about bareable and this is backed up by how he performed on CcV's absence.
He's a player that won't be missed and that says it all.

BigJan, that is a ridiculous take. He’s been great for us, delivered 5 trophies. I’m sorry but a Cb pairing isn’t all but one CB. Without that continuity between the two of them there is no Defense. A horrible take on his quality.

Reports saying McKenna is being lined up as his replacement, please god no! Why not just get Mbuyamba who is a towering, goalscoring CB which we're lacking and a better ball player than McKenna is too and probably cheaper as well.

He's been an OK signing for me. Not bad but not great either. We will need better partner to ccv to progress in europe. Somewhere around 8m would be fair price for me. I'd love to see us go for the lad Harwood bellis from city. Looks quality. $15m price tag but if we want to progress in europe now that's likely the fees we need to pay.

The fee will tell us everything we need to know, if he's been that good we will get 10 mil for him, but I suspect we will just about recover the fee we paid for him and that's good enough. It's plain to see he's horribly nervous on the ball and that's not ideal with the way we try to play.

Starfelt was an excellent defender but was asked to be a ball playing defender on the wrong side of the pitch.

If you look at his defensive stats he is number 1 in the league for many key stats.

I personally think he will be missed but at least Nawrocki looks good.

It's what we paid for him in terms of transfer fee but it doesn't capture the circa £2M wages we've paid him over the past 2 years. I'd be looking for about £6/ 7M to be honest. He's an international player with at least 4 or 5 good years still in him.

Didn’t think so.

We bought Rocky for the same price and that will prove to be great business. Starfelt wasn’t because he makes too many unforced errors and plenty forced ones. CCV carried him and as was mentioned above, his stats without Cameron tell the story. Good luck to him, gave his all, but for me his all was short of what we need. And certainly short for asking for £8m.

Most of us thought that Celtic were getting upwards on £10m for Starfelt .
I am not surprised after the result in Kilmarnock yesterday that Daily Record reports a £4.3 m fee, sure they have to try to cheer up the h. ns.
