HB apart from Cryuff, the managers you mentioned could not be classed as being World class in their professional playing careers and were a lot more successful in their managerial careers.
I don't think it matters where the coach is from, it's their playing style ideals and training methods that are the most important. As some of the posts above quite rightly state, some of the most successful coaches are from a defensive, non-professional playing career background. Let's face it how many world class strikers or attacking midfielders have proved tobe fantastic coaches? I'm sure there are a few, but can't thik of any off the top of my head, I'm sure somebody will have the superior knowledge. Let's be patient and hope Lennon can get the right support he needs to improve the team.
