reading 5-6 mill for sawers and smith, rather spend 5-6 (or more) on one quality rb don't think midfield needs more unless ntcham or other mids go . quality not quantity (on the cheap)

1.) 08 Jul 2019 21:16:40
Disagree, we have been outplayed in middle of park twice vs sevvco and struggled at hearts etc, need more spine in centre of park at times to take pressure of brown I feel.

2.) 08 Jul 2019 21:36:27
I think both will be very good signings no matter what they cost.
Both have captained their teams so we are bringing in a couple of leaders
Smith is very experienced and is reaching his peak years and by all account Sawyer is a baller when on form.

Our last RB was a class act and he cost us nothing in transfer fees.

3.) 08 Jul 2019 21:47:29
I would say we need a fresh injection in the middle of the park, broony will play a massive part this season no doubt but I would be surprised if he played 50 odd games next season! Ntcham cannot be trust anymore and would get rid asap! So a new midfielder is a must! But not as much as a bloody RB! How bloody long are we going to wait to get that sorted!

4.) 08 Jul 2019 21:49:17
And Toljan would have cost us 6m!

5.) 08 Jul 2019 22:07:07
Definitely need a box to box CM in my opinion, don't know much about Sawyer but Smith will definitely do for me like 🍀💚 HH.

6.) 08 Jul 2019 22:29:23
Anyone heard the rumour of Ross McCormack coming in as our 4th choice striker.

7.) 08 Jul 2019 23:08:00
I think we need to add a bit of steel to the midfield. There’s no doubt we have a talented bunch of midfielders but we could do with someone who can get stuck in about it. We lost against that lot because of their energy in midfield, not because they had better players.

8.) 09 Jul 2019 04:54:03
Broony is the problem in midfield, instead of playing a massive part, he should be a bit part player in the coming seadon.

9.) 09 Jul 2019 06:25:06
Tamtam. I herd he played as a trial list for us the other day mate. Would you be happy with him.

10.) 09 Jul 2019 08:21:17
Got to agree with aindoh Scott brown sets the tone for our play and he isn't capable of driving us forward anymore consistently. He isn't comfortable playing at pace and is only noticed as he is being targeted for being weak link and hence getting involved in tit for tat confrontations. He been a great servant but we need a new player in his position as being blindly loyal could be our downfall.

11.) 09 Jul 2019 09:09:10
Agree with Jim1972. Broony needs to step aside for a new driving force in midfield.
He will be okay against bottom 6 but not top 6 and definitely not in Europe.
.

12.) 09 Jul 2019 10:06:18
United Ireland where did you hear that nonsense?
The 3 trialist were
Liam Burt (Former Ibrox Trainee)
Scott Robertson ( Celtic academy player out of contract)
Tom Leighton (Previously of Watford)

13.) 09 Jul 2019 12:36:05
I said the same for the whole of last season that broony needed to take a step back as our play in the middle of the park when he was on was slow and lethargic, we played our best football last season when broony was out the team injured and I feel the same about this season, if we want to see the best of our midfield he like Rogic needs to start on the bench.

14.) 09 Jul 2019 14:35:39
Bittons time is up too, rogic needs to get finger out too, if not producing get rid of, end of rogic never did nuhun since last year.

15.) 09 Jul 2019 16:56:57
Have to agree with the majority here, brown looks like he's slowly starting to struggle with the pace of the game he's becoming a weak point in high pressure games.

I would still have him in certain matches where we need experience against good European teams if we make the group stages as we would probably have less possession but they outplayed us in midfield both matches at ibrox last season and at times in the last game at parkhead.
The likes of bitton isn't going to cut it anymore and I doubt kouassi and ntcham will get anywhere near the team now so we'll probably need to sell and get a top drawer defensive mid who will break up attacks and let the likes of mcgregor and christie dictate the play, brown just seems to be the weak link in the team now.

1.) 19 Aug 2018 14:25:50
Whos he mate.

2.) 19 Aug 2018 14:28:18
Had a look says he's a winger that's awe we need.

3.) 19 Aug 2018 14:30:36
Don't know how true that is deep river. 8m euros just can't see it soz. Unless were selling boyata for that. The guy looks like he holds no prisoners.

4.) 19 Aug 2018 14:30:37
@Deep river hoy, ach after all our troubles last week, I suppose a "new Bruma will sweep clean" or
it is supposed to be a RUMOUR site and not a BRUMA site lol.

5.) 19 Aug 2018 14:32:15
Can't find this anywhere what's the source? You's will probably not agree but Robert Huth is on a free he would definitely fill a gap at the back experience and solid.

6.) 19 Aug 2018 14:42:05
He's a cb mally.

7.) 19 Aug 2018 14:43:06
Is it not Jeffrey Bruma the centre back?

8.) 19 Aug 2018 14:47:23
Samcfc huth has serious fitness issues I am sure.

9.) 19 Aug 2018 14:50:15
Cheers Daz googled it and it was saying winger obviously wrong guy.

10.) 19 Aug 2018 14:51:54
Kev. So does Boyata. apparently. 😉.

11.) 19 Aug 2018 14:57:53
Mally there’s a winger who only goes by the name Bruma. Different guy.

12.) 19 Aug 2018 15:04:20
This story is by a alleged fan who drinks in my brothers local. Agent Kevin. It’s bull apparently.

13.) 19 Aug 2018 15:04:33
@DRB - If you’re getting that from Agent Kevin he’s full of it.

14.) 19 Aug 2018 14:51:37
Where you hearing this DRB? Talk of him going back to the EPL to long ago. can't see us being able to afford him.

15.) 19 Aug 2018 15:42:41
Unfortunately it was a txt from someone on a Sunday session from someone else on a Sunday session . drunk bums.

16.) 20 Aug 2018 00:07:01
Au hope we don't sign Huth, M referees would have a great time carding him.

17.) 20 Aug 2018 12:49:25
Defender Jeffrey Bruma

Nadir cifti rumoured to be starting.

deep river bhoy

1.) 26 Jul 2017 18:10:01
Surely not DRB! Where u hearing this?

2.) 26 Jul 2017 18:18:38
I highly doubt it, he hasn't been on the pre season tour. He has been told he can leave. He is training with the development squad till he finds a new club. I think he will go with Sinclair up front.

3.) 26 Jul 2017 18:19:55
Was he even registered for the tie? He hasn't featured in any of the friendlies I can't even see him being on the bench.

4.) 26 Jul 2017 18:35:41
Team's been announced. No Ciftci. Panic over.

5.) 26 Jul 2017 18:38:30
Sorry guys was bored and fancied a wee wind up 😉. if anyone not going can wait and not check score it says on Celtic tv rerun video held back till 10.

6.) 26 Jul 2017 22:08:43
Tell you what: we'd have been better with Ciftci on tonite. Yes, Nadir.

03 Jul 2017 20:44:11
Seen Jamie Lyndsay has signed a new contract and also signed for the season on loan with Ross county.

terrible performance today . the livi boy dykes made our cbs look like amatuers . and our fwds look like lazy amatuers, im happy the break is here a step back to regroup refocus could be just what's needed.

04 Oct 2019 16:52:11
not a moan or criticism post, but i didn't think we were at our best last night but still won fairly comfortable against a good solid team , some great individual performances a lot of combined team energy effort and fight and a bit of luck when needed, the result was great, only little gripe of the night is our tendency still to overplay. / overpass our attacks, we have the players who can score from the edge of the box and outside it, let's see more of that along with the inter passing around the box area, but sitting top and hopefully staying there.

deep river bhoy

1.) 04 Oct 2019 18:24:02
The feel good factor is back on European nights. Julien Boli and Elhamed now have settled in and all 3 look terrific buys. Still early days but can't see us losing many games this season if we play at a high tempo. Christie was immense and Brown shows again he's not finished and he has plenty left in the tank. 💪🍀🍀I watched spurs get mauled and a Manchester United team with 250 million on show and they didn't have a shot on goal for the full 90 minutes. Best league in the world? 😂😂😂.

2.) 04 Oct 2019 18:49:49
I think the performance lacked nothing in certain individual performances, but I didn't think the team performance was that great, and Brown might have enough in the tank and no one doubts his enthusiasm, but I still think he is holding the team back, nine times out of ten when he picked the ball up at the back last night, and there was an opportunity to move it forwards, he passed it back or sideways, as if he lacks the confidence to go forwards, I think if we had bought McGinn, Brown wouldn't be anywhere near the first team just now.

3.) 04 Oct 2019 19:17:45
Aindoh has brown nailed your misses or something lol constantly on our skippers back he’s still bossing it in the middle of the park give our captain a break mate he’s still a vital cog in our wheel buddy keep the faith 🍀.

4.) 04 Oct 2019 22:01:23
He was outstanding and we would miss him in spades he does the dirty work that no one in the team can do oh and he keeps possession which is king at this level.

5.) 04 Oct 2019 22:34:27
I don't mean to be too hard on him, I know what he brings to a team that are under the cosh, and in certain games, he should be played, but in games like last night, I thought he held the team back, he came into prominence because Cludj, were allowed into the game, I thought the team was disjointed, they didn't move forward as a unit, from back to front, once the ball reached Brown, the whole thing went into reverse, you can give him plaudits for keeping possession, if you want, but I think it just gave Cludj time to regroup, we have so many forward players who are sharp of thought and fast of feet, they would benefit from getting the ball moved up to them instead of the ball being passed safely sideways into possession., but that's just the way I see things.

6.) 05 Oct 2019 08:53:22
Some people have to have a moan, I thought we were brilliant from keeper to centre forward, great play and energy, one thing that stood out to me is the importance of getting players in in January have settled team for qualifiers. Look at the difference in Julien and boli after a month playing in the team knowing how their team mates play. Forget summer window make big signings in January and we'll walk qualifiers.

31 Aug 2019 16:10:04
kev t, arzani . does ellynoosy start cos he's came from epl and cost 16m . or for his current form, seen some Southampton fans stating he's worst signing they've ever made.

deep river bhoy

1.) 31 Aug 2019 16:37:38
We've witnessed first hand that he's a fantastic player.

2.) 31 Aug 2019 16:39:59
What worse than danny ings the guys murder.

3.) 31 Aug 2019 17:28:30
Elyonoussi tore us apart for Molde a few years back. We showed interest in him then and I was gutted we never followed it through. He moved on to Basel where his career really kicked on resulting in his £16m move to Southampton. Sometimes moves don’t work out for a player or a certain playing style doesn’t suit. It doesn’t make them a bad player I never thought he could end up at Celtic but I’m delighted he is.

4.) 31 Aug 2019 17:31:10
Arzani - yeah that’s been a waste of a signing shame for him mind

Based on how good he was at Molde n Basel - many good players have went to that over rated dump of the EPL especially at Southampton and lost their way - also because apart from Mikey and Forrest the rest are just rubbish excluding Sinclair who’s being punted and Shved who for some reason is not getting a run.

5.) 31 Aug 2019 17:48:58
DRB EPL fans are even worse than Celtic fans for righting off players before giving them a chance.

6.) 31 Aug 2019 19:22:50
He was brilliant for Basel, scoring loads of goals, playing on the left in the same system as what Celtic normally play.

7.) 31 Aug 2019 19:36:09
Hi long time reader first time poster.
It is all about reinventing yourself as a player and discovering what made you great at one club and how you can find that magic again. Elonyoussi will prove to be great asset given time.
Now let's concentrate on the game tomorrow and get behind our boys HH.

8.) 01 Sep 2019 08:29:01
Sutton is a classic example of a player reigniting his career. I am hoping this lad is the same. If he can find his form he will be a great addition and I wish him well.

14 Aug 2019 18:17:46
no one person to blame, the club as a whole is to blame lawell/ board with dragging their heels in spending again. scouting/ recruitment, player identification . substandard talent again, lennon . wrong selection tactics substitutions, this is a historic ongoing problem question is now, how nuch longer do we put up with it.

deep river bhoy

1.) 14 Aug 2019 18:52:10
spot on mate.

2.) 14 Aug 2019 19:05:35
We shouldn't but no group has the balls to stand up unlike us in the 90's when we got rid of the Kelly's.

3.) 14 Aug 2019 22:14:28
why wasn't bold played in front of mcgregor with a bit of protection at least i don't understand the hype about johnstone only looks good when things are going our way and offers no protection for our LB.

07 Aug 2019 21:02:50
right back needed left back needed and we've wasted nearly 4.5 million on these positions already . again why are we buying two average to poor players instead of one good.

deep river bhoy

1.) 07 Aug 2019 21:09:39
You don't think elhammed is a good player? Thought he was solid tonight myself like.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 21:15:43
Elhammed was quality. Boli looks shakey defensively but hopefully he will improve that. Definitely need a new first choice lb if kt is off.

3.) 07 Aug 2019 21:24:31
Dpr elhamed looks like a fecking bargain at that price. Was up there punching for man of the match.

4.) 07 Aug 2019 21:32:09
My friends Enrico is very happy tonight with the score. Lennon got everything right and it was a solid away performance. This is a very good team we were playing well organised but we got the away goal and it sets us up nicely.

Big Hatem never put a foot wrong. I don’t know what some of you guys are watching.

He played a solid professional game.

Ajer great and impressed with Forrest and Christie again.

Great result now we can finish them off at Celtic Park.

5.) 07 Aug 2019 21:40:38
got caught out position too much and slow getting back . the guy isn't a natural fullback so why buy him, even bringing him in as utility player when biton was already doing that role . he's here now so time will tell .

6.) 07 Aug 2019 21:53:50
Enrico just because we got a result doesn't mean Lennon got everything right. Playing Morgan was a shocking decision and letting him come back out after half time was criminal.

7.) 07 Aug 2019 22:46:22
Drb I don't know what game you were watching but not once did I see the big man caught out if position and he was rapid getting back. His pace is fantastic.

Kier mcinroy cdm isn't that far away either. dembele imo still needs more time aitcheson a bit ahead of okoflex and in a br team as attackers their height and build will go against them like to see aitcheson on loan to an all club to see if he can cut it at that level.

nostalgic until you remember the streams of pish underfoot and getting crushed waiting to get in . and they big horses pushing you and I swear trying to rubbish on you like a big hairy Lancaster bomber. apart from that id have it back in a heartbeat …. one of my most vivid memories is of the first time singing sailing , by rod steward, It was electric . and the 4-2 10 men won the league. I thought my napper was going to explode at times that night the noise was that great … it was also a lot easier to sneak a bottle of eldo in then, happy days.
