As I've already mentioned in a previous post the other week, I find this whole scenero bizarre.

Does anyone know the reason why the club hasn't applied for permission to develop a full size indoor pitch at our training base at Lennoxtown?

If there isn't an angle connected to government funding for this, I'd be amazed, as I can't see any logical reason why Celtic would spend money on developing Barrowfield.

Answers on a postcard.

Pedro

I'm fairly confident that Lennox town Training complex will be sold in coming years.

Therefore (imo) it makes sense to redevelop Barrowfield and surrounding areas which will eventually become the full training complex.

Celtic want the stadium, museum, Barrowfield, hotel etc to become a destination area for leisure etc.
And everything to be in 1 central area.

Much of the above would have been much more forward, however it's my understanding Glasgow City Council Planning are being difficult.

It's a no brainer barrowfield along from stadium there's plenty of ground for development.

Ah, fair enough Brian - I didn't know that.

I also wasn't aware how much space there was to develop Barrowfield but fair do's, if the club can provide the facilities required, it's all good ?

Why would we sell LennoxTown after all the money we spent on it?
I'm just wondering as I thought that would be our training complex for decades.

I can only imagine that it's for winter training trying to get players into Lennox town when there's a foot of snow on ground would be dangerous whilst changing plan to train indoors at barrowfield would save that problem. Would also be a better facility for the youth team as it would be seen as progression when training at Lennox town as opposed to barrowfield. I think both psychological element as well as weather management is the reasons.
