Any truth in today's papers regarding vvd or
is it just paper nonsense. Apparently Southampton have agreed a deal which will go thru even if we qualify for the championship group stage. I hope we sign another striker too.

Thank goodness for that hopefully Ed, there is no way we should be accepting £9 or £10M for him. We need to play hardball with these EPL teams who are swimming in cash, especially Southampton who make a killing from TV money on top of over-valued player sales. We should be holding out for at LEAST £12M but I would be hoping for more and maybe even a sell on clause. I would quite like to see the Wanyama transfer record broken. If we sell all our top players for between £10-12M then we're never going to possibly get £15M and above for players for real talents in the future. We need to try and take transfer fees to the next level in what we can bring in. They'll pay it if they're desperate enough and I guess they are judging by their need for a CB alongside Fonte.
We hold all the cards here and are in the driving seat, rinse them for as much as we can get and I'd like to think if any man will then it will be Lawwell.
