I've been banging the McKenna drum for a while now and now I'm hopeful he will sign early Jan. Guy was a stand out last season for Forrest and has been outstanding for Scotland. Like I said many months ago on the Podcast I would love us to get a more Scottish spine to the team -

GK - Angus Gunn - long term to replace Hart

CB - Scott McKenna - Can play CB or LB, an absolute bruiser of a player and would run through a brick wall for Celtic.

CM - McGregor - Hopefully now can kick on and get back to the way he normally plays.

ST - Shankland - Having Kyogo and Shankland would be perfect long term imo.

We don't always need fancy foreign names to improve the squad we have.

I hope everyone has an amazing night and a Happy New Year to everyone.

HH.

Gunn yes . mkenna yes I'd take him and he'd do the things you say but big scales is allready doing that. is mckenna better? Nawrocki looked good yesterday and before injury young Welsh never let's us down . that leaves two cb still on books and cvv number one choice when fit. michael. would you give him an automatic starting place? If not, that is an awfull lot of cbs on bench or stands . shankland will score for us no problem but will he come knowing and accepting being 2nd choice to kyogo ? Wages increase might motivate that move. are we actually looking at them . over to you ed.

I would take Miovski over Shankland.
But I would still be delighted if we signed Shankland, Gunn and McKenna.

If we sign McKenna we would have 8 centre backs.

Gunn is not homegrown.

Mckenna is no better than what we have, just because he is Scottish is not a reason to sign him. Rocky, Scales, Welsh, CCV, who would make room for him, none of them imo.

Unless BR is going to change how we set up, Shankland would be on the bench more than on the pitch, because he is not better than Kyogo, contrary to what BFKB thinks.

If BR was prepared to change things up, I would consider Shankland rather than the sheep striker to play alongside Kyogo.

If Sevco somehow find money to sign him, he would be their first choice and would improve them, they have no one better.

I think baby Sevco would not be easy to deal with as it would be us asking but 2-2.5 million would be fair price.

I have been wary over this deal as I want better, however he is a proven goal scorer in our league and we would spend as much if not more on a project from elsewhere, who may not settle in and make the grade or take a season to do it.

It's a difficult one, as he may not settle in either, it happens to players coming to a club our size after starring for their own club.

A couple of yrs ago McKenna. was a complete no no on here . He wasn’t wanted. I wouldn’t have him now either as he is slow, rough and strong in tackle, ideal for a Sevco Cb but a penalty or red card waiting to happen if he was playing for us.
