Here's a question guys:
This Sevco fan that has been banned for life for abusing Broony (and any person who gets a lifetime ban from any club) , how on earth can that really be enforced? They may not be able to buy a season ticket but what's really to stop them getting matchday tickets and going to games? Put a hat and a big coat on and they could be anyone. HH.

My thought's exactly. I don't think there is anything to stop them other than the vigilance of stewards and fans who abhor what the individual did from the fan being prevented from getting into watch the game.

It's really up to the authorities to deal with these people. There's Novo yesterday calling for Celtic to ban the person responsible for the vile post about Fernando Ricksen. Firstly why is it just assumed he's a Celtic fan? I saw the post and there's nothing in it to suggest the person responsible is a Celtic fan. Secondly let the authorities do their job and if a conviction is achieved then the courts will decide the appropriate punishment and if that includes a football banning order then so be it.
I'm sure Rangers and Celtic are fed up having their names dragged through the mud because they are being associated with these morons.

Yes malky, but how are these people prevented from attending games? It's all very well the authorities and clubs telling the offender not to go back and saying they won't be allowed in and they'll be committing an offence if they do etc. etc. but how does anyone stop them from going anyway? HH.

{Ed007's Note - If I remember things right once you receive an FBO (Football Banning Order) you have 7 days to report to a court specified police station to have your photograph taken and that will be circulated to police and transport police on matchdays. The police also have spotters on the ground blending in with the crowd and popping in & out of pubs looking for known trouble makers.
Depending on the conditions of the FBO, on matchdays between specific times you're banned from using public transport, being in pubs, being in the surrounding area of the ground - you wouldn't be allowed in Glasgow city centre, or any town/city centre depending on the FBO conditions - and in some cases you can be ordered to report to your local police station for kick-off. You also need to hand your passport in 3 days before any European fixtures.
From memory again, if you are caught breaching your FBO it's a straight 6 months in the big hoose, no questions asked.}

If it was one of ours he should be slapped but that wee rat novo got a cheek the bile that comes out his bar is horrendous but he makes a buck out it so it's alright.
