only saw twitter comments from lennon but seems as if we are now waiting on english market closing before we do more business which worries me slightly as a feel we would be better looking at other leagues like dutch german scandanavian ect also saying now he's happy with the squad and its balance which again worries me . Personally feel we are short of 3 players at least as i don't think we are any stronger than last year and surely we want to improve year after year and try make european qualifiers easier for ourself . Again just my opinion.

Hope he's not implying no more funds until KT is sold with that comment.

Samm, there’s funds there if need be, lawwell isn’t daft mind! It’s just typical Celtic, the younger generation on here won’t get how it’s worked for YEARS.
Celtic never overspend, rightly so, but they also don’t speculate to accumulate.
We’ve spent £10mil on transfers, take wages into account also, there will be deals in the pipeline but nothing will really happen until KT has moved on, then maybe another 8/ 10mill spent on transfers/ wages, it’s just what happens.
The only good thing now, normally when we get put out champions league qualifiers, we also used to always sell our main asset, that might not be the case (unless someone pushes for a move not wanting to play Europa)
With all the money the board are sitting on. gathering up. for a rainy day. mibe. probably no 😂.

Waiting until the English market closes makes sense, if we were actually to reinvest the KT money, our level of target could change considerably.

jimtim a get wat you are saying but the wages down south are crazy a 4 to 5mill player dwn there will be on upwards 40 grand a week which we simply won't pay where as if we invest wisely abroad a feel the wages may be cheaper.

HB my point isn't about signing players from EPL clubs that are surplus to requirements there. My point is that once the English window is shut we have a fairly good idea of where KT will be playing next season. Say we sign a RB this week for 5m. Then KT is sold at the death of the English window for 25m. We might be left feeling that we could have got a better, more expensive target. I'm not necessarily saying any more signings depend on him being sold. But KT being sold I would hope seriously changed the level of player we'll look to bring in.

It could be either theory to be fair bud. I'd seriously think if they knew what was best the board would make a couple of quality signings if KT is sold.
