I think we will see more outs than ins tomorrow as we have a number of players who will get nowhere near the first team. If we keep Dembele and Boyata as well as adding Mulumbu and Benkovic then i think we are in not bad shape. I would like a RB as i think Lustig is done but i don't think there will be any more additions other than the 2 above.

Totally agree DD81, trim the squad and a RB would be excellent.

I think the Fembele move is still on. If club get upwards of £20mill. I think Moussa has hamstring problems that won't go awsy and he does not want to be here so an unhappy Moussa. If hamstrings go again we won't get £20mill next time. Another unhappy player alongside Boyata. Let both go.

Totally agree, whilst everyone would love dembele to stay it’s clear the lad wants to go. I can see Brendan’s point regarding us needing a quality replacement for him but what happens now is looking like us having 2 unhappy first team players ( boyata and dembele) the thing is dembele must realise celtics position though as it’s not as if we’ve weeks to get a replacement for him. If he doesn’t go by tonight then one things for sure is that his time has come to move on so we must actively look to replace him and let the boy move in January/ next summer. £20 million plus for a guy we bought for less than £500 grand plus has countless problems with his hamstrings is good money in my book. If he’s still here come Saturday morning could an option be to give him a new vastly improved contract? Give him a good wage rise, add a couple of years to his current deal and safeguard us for maximising a future fee? If he stays we’ve got to have a happy dembele not a dembele that’s face is tripping him, and also guarantee that come January/ next summer a bid that Celtic find acceptable, the player finds acceptable then he must be allowed to move.

I don't agree with this crap about unhappy players, I mean these guy's are highly paid professional players who earn vast amounts of money that are under contract so should be professional and get on with it. Knuckle down do the damage and get their moves in a few months.
I'll tell you what makes me unhappy is going to work for £700 quid a week and paying out a fair chunk of that to go and watch a lot of these guy's moan about the money they make or the games they have to play, some of them need a fecking reality check I tell you!

I think that agreement will already be in place when he signed his first contract. We should already have strikers scouted just incase he leaves, is that not what big clubs do?

I think we should let him go as long as we maximise the fee where possible. He has done well for us for 2 years and he wants to go. An unhappy employee of any business is never going to give his best effort. Doesn't matter if they're a chicken plucker or a brain surgeon. Unfortunately he is injury prone too and can't seem to find any consistency in starting games.
Imagine this, you're in a job and you have a fantastic offer from another company and your boss has told you that you can't leave even though when you started with them you were told you could go when you have more experience. What are you going to do? Are you going to continue to turn up on time and give everything you have with a big smile on your face? Unlikely, isn't it?
So the problem isn't with Moussa, the problem (yet again) is with Congerton, the board and possibly BR for not seeing this problem and taking preventative action before it became an issue. As as been said by a few of you before, our scouting network is definitely 3rd rate at best. They have sat on their arses doing fekk all at a time when they should have been delivering their best ever results.

Bob it wouldn't surprise me now if he ran his contract down. He's been lied to by someone, either Rodgers or the board.

It definitely seem that was Stephbhoy2 from the posts dembele has been putting up. One about being told lies for example. As good as he is l don't see the point in not accepting the money when we would have all read that in time Celtic would not stand in his way if a big move came in. Celtic can t afford another nightmare problem with a player and in dembele case can definitely not allow his contract to run out and him go for nothing. Time to take the money lm afraid.
