Pukki is highly thought of at Brondby would happily sell him and use the money towards this guy and another LB worth a punt at that price. Hooper was playing non league at Grays and 4 years later was with us and scored for fun between then a goal scorer will score goals in any league if he gets the right service

Worth another look? scored more in Norway than all our loanees and current players together, we wanted to pay 5mill for finbogson, we've payed nearly 8 mill for the loanees and scepovic, yet for approx. 50000 we let this boy pass through our hands, do we need him now, I don't know but hope he is being monitered

As iv pointed out before, towards the end Neil Lennon signed sub standard players not fit to wear the jersey. Neil Lennon is certainly not a coach he is more of an old school manager. RD will progress the players and the club to the top!

We have not bought a decent player since VVD. Ronnie has signed Scepovic but the jury is still out regarding him. Out of the loans, only Wakaso looks to have added anything positive above what we already have. Would we pay £4 mill for Wakaso? Don't think so. It looks as if all the loan players will be released at the end of the season with hopefully JG purchased. That means the Board will need to get their cheque book out in July. We need to do better than Lennon did in his last season and that means allowing the manager to buy decent players, not taking a punt on £1mill signings. Let's get a couple of quality players. We have players already in the squad who are as good as the ones Lennon bought last summer so let's see if we can't add to the quality of the team instead of simply adding numbers to the squad.

Celtic won't improve chances of getting back to the top in Europe by buying players who won't stay longer than a couple of years . However I think Deila and the board are at one in thinking that by having the correct back-up staff and improved training facilities will bring Celtic back to the very top. The appoint of Jim McGuinness to first team duties along with a coaching colleague of Deila's from Norway seem to be bringing results already . The appointment of the Norwegian medic man will also benefit the players in a big way.

Pukki I think is a player and would complement Guidetti, especially in 4-3-3, though I am liking stokes in that role. Balde too- give him a shot with a real striker, see what he can do.

For whatever reason, Alfred Finnbogason has barely managed 350 mins over 8 games for Sociedad this season? Do they possibly have financial worries and don't want his add-on's triggering, or has he just not settled in Spain? No chance of us getting him anyway, cost them €7.5m - our focus should be getting John Guidetti on a permanent deal!

{Ed007's Note - Finnbogason dislocated his shoulder playing against Aberdeen in the EL qualifiers and that kept him out until the end of September. He's only played one full game since he came back from that injury, that was last weekend, while he gets himself match-fit.}

Cheers Ed, knew you'd have a good idea of what's been happening. There ye go then, so it's unfair for anyone to criticize or compare him to others for not banging them in this season after his big money move. Once he's settled, learned the lingo, etc - I fully expect him to be linked wi even bigger clubs again!

{Ed007's Note - Real Sociedad sacked their manager at the weekend and Davie Moyes has been linked with the job, if he goes there Finnbogason should get out ASAP.}

Ed told us Park and Lawwell signed the players . I haven't an idea, although I would have thought that the same man or men would get the same praise or blame for the players that were taken in, some excellent, some average and some poor .
