No way should Celtic release Forrest. He's as important to this team as Calmac, his experience in the dressing room has been hailed by managers and he has contributed massively to the success the club has had over the last 15 years.

All this talk of loyalty from managers and people who want away and then to get rid of a man who's never pulled on another jersey in his career.

Always believed he should be afforded the opportunity to finish his career at Celtic, should he wish to.

Time for Forrest to move on. he's offered little to nothing the last 3 seasons. He has been a good servant and player but his time has come. If he was to stay I would make his wage appearance related although I think he may have a year left on his contract.

{Ed007's Note - Forrest has another two years left on his deal and if there wasn't a wage reduction or a performance related pay scale involved in the THREE year extension he signed in 2022 then Forrest is one of the top earners at the Club and that simply can not be allowed to continue. Forrest's record of 101 goals in 467 - about a goal every 4.5 games - for a winger playing at Celtic is quite frankly embarrassing and apart from Rodgers last tenure when he had Paddy Roberts breathing down his neck his entire Celtic career has been a shambles and a lot, a Hell of a lot, is down to Forrest himself and his attitude over the years. If we want to move on as a squad and a Club we can't be keeping players like Forrest on high paying deals just through sentimentality.}

It’s time for Forrest to be moved on. Sentimentality is an awful strategy. He won’t get a game. We can’t afford to pay him wages better utilised on a better player.

That was said last yr and we didn’t have many others scoring hat tricks . He was far from a sentimental player last season and if a player devotes his whole career to one club he is entitled to have a say on where he plays his final yrs . Obviously if he really isn’t wanted he should be gone.
