I don't agree with an article I read on the Celts Are Here site.

The headline reads that the Scales experiment must stop.
Shocking headline considering the season Scales has had.

The article reckons that the Celtic fans would welcome a CCV and Nawrocki partnership.
I would be surprised if most Celtic fans would agree.

Nawrocki looks dodgy on the right side of defence and I would hate to see how he would perform on his unnatural left side.

I would have CCV and Scales as my 1st choice pairing with Welsh as our backup.

Maybe a fit Nawrocki will be better next season after a good pre-season.
Lagerbielke would be my 5th choice CB.

I would agree BuzzBomb that Scales has taken his chance and excelled in a season where injuries as well as untrusted and questionable signings, have been plentiful at the centre of our defence.

That said, personally I feel we need a clear out across the first team squad and ideally require a far better left footed CB to partner CCV next season.

In a good Celtic team, Scales is never a first choice option given his range of limitations but the problem is, this is not a good Celtic team.

Scales is having the Turnbull effect. Looking like he is having a great season because of how bad the rest are. While not quite NL territory we've been pretty poor this year and while Scales deserves credit for taking his shot, in a strong Celtic side he doesn't make the bench. There's a reason Ange didn't want him.

Agree with you though BB - there's more pressing issues than a LCB.

Agree it should be Scales and CCV. But I honestly think we need a new CB for next season to partner CCV. For me it just shows that Starfelt has been a big miss. Just my opinion.

Nawrocki missed training today.
It’s been a stop start first season with Celtic.

I don’t think Brendan will take any chances, due to his previous injuries.
CCV and Scales will start with Welsh looking like making the bench in Wednesday.

I'd go with ccv and scales but there's no doubt scales has tailed off a bit recently. his passing especially but he gives us balance. long term wee need better.
