If Aberdeen win on Saturday and Sevco lose to Hearts on Sunday, which is more than possible, they'll drop to 7th place, 11 points behind the leaders after just 8 games. Is there a problem at the asbestos dome? Apparently not, according to the stenographers but I see Charlie Nicholas is now predicting BR will be gone by the end of January. This is propaganda on a level I have never seen before in Scottish football. I find it very irritating, particularly so, when it's being written by clowns like Nicholas who I once watched in the hoops. Unfortunately for him, he has trashed his own reputation and I have to say that I honestly wish the stupid wee tit had never set foot inside the stadium.

{Ed007's Note - There has been plenty of people on here saying the same thing about Rodgers since at least the season started if not before.}

Agreed and I have to question their motives as well. I suspect there may be one or two on here who may be here only to peddle the same nonsense being trotted out in the press. There will be others who have been swayed by the volume of false news out there and so the lie grows momentum.

{Ed007's Note - The thing is people pick and choose what to believe, how many times has someone told you not to believe the papers but the next thing they're all over stories like this and panicking.
These stories all stemmed from a podcast where a group of Celtic fans threw some ideas of their own around while talking about all the RUMOURS surrounding the Club, a filthy begging tramp of a blogger then spun it into a blog as if it was factual - a blog said filthy begging tramp blogger was forced to remove.

Have you actually read what Nicholas said?

"I am not sure Brendan Rodgers will still be Celtic manager come the end of January as it looks as if the relationship between Brendan and Peter Lawwell is broken.
Major shareholder Dermot Desmond appears to have had to step in and have some strong words with them both. I disagree with Desmond on a lot of things but at least he has shown leadership qualities in trying to sort out any potential problems.
The claims doing the rounds are that Rodgers has been told to get the team back on track while the chief executive has been told to do everything he can to back his manager but if there has been a serious breakdown in their relationship then you can ever get things back to what it was before.
Rodgers and Lawwell might pose for the occasional photograph but it is clear that the relationship is no longer working.
Brendan seems to have lost some of his drive with everything that has happened since the summer."

Everything if and buts, potential problems and then he even contradicts himself at the end with:
.....if there has been a serious breakdown in their relationship then you can ever get things back to what it was before.
Rodgers and Lawwell might pose for the occasional photograph but it is clear that the relationship is no longer working."

It's either one or the other Charlie, if it's clear Rodgers and Lawwell's relationship is no longer working why precede it with if there has been a serious breakdown in their relationship? And I think he meant 'you can never get it back' not ever.
I also have no idea how BR seems to have lost some of his drive and how can he tell, he's always been a quite thinker and not the type to rant and rave.
You'd need to be some kind of idiot - and Charlie is that kind of idiot - to think Rodgers wasn't raging about the transfer window and as I said the other week there was problems on both sides with Rodgers pushing for unattainable targets (Cristiano Piccini) and Lawwell dropping the ball on the McGinn deal but it was agreed that there would be significant funds available in January..... so fingers crossed

All Nicholas has done really is give his opinion on the stories, just the same as everyone else except he gets paid to give his.}

You correctly point out that BR generally goes about his business quietly, even when he’s commenting on emotive subjects. Whilst I think he wanted to make it clear that we have to be looking to invest further in the playing staff, I don’t think he was raging. The press are constantly at him asking questions that could provoke a headline worthy response and every now and then, he’ll say something that can be used to create the controversy they’re looking for. He could come out and shout down every bull story that appears in the press but if he did, he’d have no time left to manage the team. As for losing his drive, in any line of work you have a level of effort you can maintain at all times which is considerably less than 100%. Top performers will peak at certain key times when they either have to or when they think they can achieve maximum return for their effort but will also have to reduce their focus and effort at times because they’re human. I think BR has been at 100% for two years now and he’s tired. The players are as well and they’re just off the back of a double treble. The amount of physical and mental effort required to achieve something like that is collosal and if you add in a World Cup and a stupid international friendly trip to South America, you have a group who need to hit the reset button as BR once put it. They now find themselves back at work and they’ve played about 20 competitive games and it’s only the beginning of Oct. BR and the players are quite possibly mentally tired at this early stage in the season whichever means they may have to grind out a few results before they find a rhythm and start to destroy teams again. On top of all that stress, BR is having to deal with the stories being written by clowns like Nicholas and manage balloons like Dembele throwing the toys out the pram on transfer deadline day. He’s also managing the likes of N’Tcham French Eddie to make sure they’re still focused and of course Boyata who in fairness has responded very well. No matter what BR or the team do at the moment, the press will spin it against us as they are still behind the Stevie G revolution. I think that will change next Sunday and Celtic will maybe get some welcome respite from the propaganda machine.

{Ed007's Note - The more they bang on the sweeter the victory will be.}

Sevco and honey g have had a worse start but you wouldn't know it . charlie seems to be stoking the fires a bit and then there was all that nonsense after the last derby game where but for the woodwork and McGregor and the ref it would have been a thrashing but Charlie was banging on that sevco had played well.

He actually said that he was ‘seriously concerned about Rangers momentum’. The problem is that these bampots can print nonsense like this with impunity no matter how unfounded and innacurate it might be. In a couple of months when we’re hopefully back at the top, he’ll have changed his tune without any form of apology. I wouldn’t mind so much if it was even handed but the level of media bias at the moment is beyond a joke.

I believe the takeover panel are back in court today to pursue dodgy Dave for contempt of court but I can’t find anything about it in the Scottish press. Funny that eh?

Hi ed

I take it you are big JJ fan, and have your money paid to his account like clock work every month? ;)
